Kicker Good for Rochford

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Ming Wei opened to 1,200 from under the gun and the hijack called as did Paul Rochford on the button and both the blinds.

Five players saw the K3A flop with action checking around to the K turn.

Action checked to Rochford who bet 3,000 on the turn and only Wei called. The 9 river saw Wei check-call a 5,000 bet by Rochford and show K2 for trip kings. Rochford turned over KJ also having rivered trip kings, but his jack played to give him the pot.

Tchong Taken Out by Motlagh

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Mansour Motlagh
Mansour Motlagh

Michael Tchong had a tough start to the day and fell down to his last 6,000 chips. He moved all in from the small blind and was called by Mansour Motlagh in the big blind.

Michael Tchong: Q10All in

Mansour Motlagh: KJ

Tchong was behind and looked to the board for some help. The A95 flop didn't change much, but the J turn saw Motlagh pick up a pair of jacks. It also brought in some hope of a straight for Tchong.

The 10 river saw to Tchong's elimination as although he paired up, Motlagh kept the lead.

Chenliang Li

Chenliang Li opened to 1,000 from early position and both the cutoff, and the small blind called. Vittorio Gambetta three-bet to 6,500 and only Chenliang Li called.

The pair saw a A32 flop and Gambetta bet 2,500. Li called, and another ace came on the turn.

After seeing the A, Gambetta took a while to check, with Li quickly checking behind.

A 7 river came, and Gambetta checked. Li bet 16,000 and Gambetta snap called and tabled his pocket queens QQ. Li quickly mucked.

Lin Makes a Huge Fold

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Ming Wei
Ming Wei

The players were already heads up and on the turn with a pot of around 45,000. The pair were looking at the 10546 board with Ming Wei having moved all in from under the gun for his remaining ~47,000.

Action was on Ruizi Lin who was sitting with just 42,000 behind, and he went into the tank, taking around 2 minutes to make a decision.

Lin opted to fold, passing a huge pot across to Wei. Another player at the table remarked "you had an over-pair right?", to which Lin responded "Obviously". Table talk continued with another player guessing "Kings?..." but nothing further was revealed.

Ruizi was right back in the next hand and opened to 1,200 on the button. Ruizi was called by the big blind, and he continuation-bet on the flop, seeing his opponent fold, allowing him to recover a few of his lost chips.

Updated Counts After the Break

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Ehsan Amiri
Ehsan Amiri

Some players have pulled away from the pack and are sitting well above the average stack.

Ehsan Amiri was just pipped to the top position by Benjamin Richardson who looks to be sitting at the top of the counts going into Level 4.

Notables such as Tristan Wade and Vladas Tamasauskas both added a fair few big blinds to their starting stacks during Level 3, where as Alex Lynskey looks to be holding steady at just under 60,000.

Jim Giannoukos
Jim Giannoukos

Andrew Theakstone started the action by opening to 1,200 from early position, with Bruno Portaro and Jim Giannoukos defending the small and big blind respectively.

The 376 flop was checked by all to see a J turn. Potaro bet 1,500 and Giannoukos quickly called. Theakstone folded leaving the blinds to battle it out heads up on the 6 river.

Portaro bet 5,000 and Giannoukos went into the tank. He called out "Did you hit that jack?". After around 3-minutes, he flicked in a 5,000 chip to call and Portaro tabled his AJ. Giannoukos slammed his card onto the table, face down and remarked "That f***ing jack", as his hand was mucked.
