Macey Runs into Aces

Macey was looking to the board for help but the 894 flop didn't give him much to work with. He was stood from his seat and watched the rest of the 2 turn and 3 runout secure his elimination from the freezeout event.

He was among only 6 players to have been eliminated so far from the event.

No Hart to Call

Brayden Jinks opened to 2,000 from middle position and saw Ken Hart call from the hijack, and Tomasz Wojkowski call on the button.

Jinks continued on the 5610 flop for 1,600 and Hart raised to 3,500, with only Jinks making the call.

A 3 fell on the turn and Jinks check-raised to 12,500 after Hart bet 3,000. Hart gave up his hand and Jinks picked up a sizeable pot taking his stack to over 150,000.

Lynskey Picks Up

Players were already three-ways on the K6J flop with Phil Howknis in a middle position, Alex Lynskey on the button and Hossein Ahwazi in the big blind.

The pot stood at around 3,000 and action checked around to Lynskey who bet 1,000. Ahwazi folded, and Howknis called, and the players continued heads up.

A Q turn was checked to the 3 river, and Howknis took some time before checking. Lynskey bet 1,500 and Howknis mucked his hand, passing the pot across the table.

Bell Takes the Family Pot

David Bell opened to 800 from under the gun and saw four calls. Jiang Pu called from the hijack, Domenico Zappia was in the cutoff, Kem Husain called from the small blind and Ming Wei defended the big blind.

The five players were taken to the 6108 flop and both the blinds checked. Bell continued for 1,000 and Pu and Zappia made quick folds. Husain also threw his cards in the muck, but Pu called.

A J was turned and Pu check-called a 2,000 bet by Bell. The 8 river saw Pu check again, Bell bet 2,000 and Pu took some time whilst looking at the board and checked his hand, before calling.

Bell showed J9 for two pair, which saw Pu push his hand into the muck.

Clifford Lee limped from early position and Mitchell Watson raised to 800. Lee called, and the players went heads-up to the 1073 flop.

Action checked through the 4 turn to get to the Q river and Lee bet 1,300. Watson made a quick call but ran into Lee's flush after he turned over 98.

It was a small loss for Watson, and Lee continued to play a number of small pots, chipping away at his table.

WSOP bracelet winner Tristan Wade isn't sitting too far from him on an adjacent table, and was caught in a small pot where Clifford Lee opened to 800 from under the gun and Wade defended the big blind.

The J9J flop saw Wade check, Lee bet 1,100 and Wade fold. He was last seen sitting on around 59,000, just below starting stack.

Alyas Rebuilds

Omer Alyas opened to 700 from early position and action folded around to the big blind who called.

The 5QA flop was bet by the big blind for 1,700. Alyas called, and the pair saw the 2 turn.

Both checked to the 9 river and the big blind moved out a 5,000 chip. Alyas took some time but made the correct call, taking the pot with king-high after flipping over KJ. The big blind showed his 37 bluff, having missed the flopped flush draw.

Tomeny Keeps up the Momentum

Michael Tomeny was already in a 5,000 pot and looking at a 726 flop with an opponent sitting in the big blind.

Tomeny bet 2,000 on the button and the big blind raised to 7,000. Tomeny called, taking the pair to the A K turn.

A 8,000 bet was made by Tomeny and the big blind considered, before folding. Tomeny was able to regain some chips from the hand after taking a tumble early in the tournament day.

Tomeny is fresh off playing the $5,000 Challenge event here at the Aussie Millions 2026, where he finished in 3rd place, taking home $188,895 AUD.
