Martin Kozlov Among the Day 1b Field

Martin Kozlov has taken his seat in today’s Day 1b field, bringing some serious competition to the Crown Poker Room.

Kozlov, the winner of the WSOP $10K Six‑Max Championship bracelet event, is no stranger to deep runs, boasting nearly $4,000,000 in live earnings. No doubt he’ll be hoping to make another strong showing here at the returning Aussie Millions Main Event on home turf.

Joining him on the felt is fellow Australian pro James Broom, who has over $700,00 in recorded tournament cashes.

During the break, many players other decided to hop into the field, with the total number of entries now sitting at 132.

Kem Husain opened on the button for 500 and Tomas Molina De La Maza raised on the big blind for 1,600. Husain topped up and the players went heads up to the flop.

The 3♦A♣10♣ fell and the De La Maza bet 1,200. Husain called, and they saw a 8♦ turn.

De La Maza continued to fire and bet 1,800 and Husain gave up the pot.

Zachary Metin opened to 500 from middle position and saw three calls from the cutoff, the button and the big blind.

The players were taken four ways to the 10♠3♥5♠ flop and the big blind checked to Metin who bet 1,200. Only the big blind called and the players went heads up to the 9♠ turn.

Action checked to the 9♣ river and the big blind bet out 2,200. Metin called with A♠10♥ for two pair, scooping the pot after seeing the big blinds K♥7♥.

Kuo Among Early Registrants in Day 1b

Players are just 45 minutes into the day and the tournament area is already bustling.

Kitty Kuo is among the 98 players who have now taken their seats in the Day 1b Aussie Millions Main event.

Kuo took her took a seat in the $25,000 Challenge Event yesterday but had a tricky day of play, and didn't make it through to the final day, which will commence later today.

She was one of the first players to take a seat in today's tournament, and now sits among other notables at the tables such as Australian Pro Daniel Murphy.

The cutoff opened to 800 and the button called, along with Daniel Murphy in the small blind.

A 7♥9♠5♣ flop saw the cutoff continue for 2,100 and the button made a swift call. Murphy asked for 5,500 and the cutoff mucked his hand.

It took the button a little longer to make a decision, but they also folded their cards, leaving Murphy to pick up the pot.

Macey Makes Early Moves

In one of the first hands of the day, Jonathan Macey opened to 600 on the button. He saw both the blinds call behind.

The three players were taken to the 6♠2♥8♣ flop and both the blinds checked. Macey bet 700 and only the big blind called.

Action was checked after seeing the J♥ turn to take them to the 7♥ river. Macey bet 5,000 on the river and saw the big blind pause, before flicking in a chip to call.

As soon as his opponent called, Macey announced "straight", turning over 10♠9♥. The big blind said "that's good", and mucked his hand, leaving Macey to get a sizeable early pot in the first level of the day.
