Pettit's Stack Grows

A player limped from the hijack and Brendan Pettit responded with a shove for his last 155,000 from the small blind. Just behind him, Dean Blatt also moved all in for more, which got a fold from the limper to set up a showdown between himself and Pettit.

It was unfortunate timing from Blatt, who isolated himself against the dominating hand of Pettit.

The 9♥3♣6♣5♠Q♦ runout improved neither player, which meant a full double up for Pettit with his ace.

"Now I can't eliminate anybody..." Blatt lamented after handing a portion of his stack over to Pettit.

Heads-up on a completed board of 10♥A♦9♠4♠10♣ with a few hundred thousand already in the middle, Tristan Wade bet 300,000 from the big blind and was met with a shove from Chester Swords in the hijack, which was for enough to put Wade all in for his last 875,000 behind.

"I don't know if I'm good enough to fold this," Wade said as he contemplated his decision.

After a couple of minutes, a floorman approached the table and informed Wade he would need to make his decision soon before the clock would be called.

Wade tanked a bit longer, but eventually tossed his cards directly into the muck.

"Fold a full house?" Swords inquired to Wade.

"I did not have a full house," Wade replied.

"Then good fold," Swords said as he turned over K♠10♠ for trip tens.

Nichole Roberts shoved first to act and two spots behind her, Yesha Punjabi also went all in for 250,000. Everyone else got out of the way and hands were revealed.

It was a nearly even matchup, but the 9♥J♣8♥ flop brought a set for Punjabi right in the window to give her a commanding lead in the hand.

The 7♣ turn brought chop opportunities, prompting Roberts to say, "Ten?"

However, the Q♣ river kept Punjabi ahead with her set and she became the latest person to double.

Jordan Batis opened to 40,000 from middle position and it was folded to Jaxon Byrne, who shoved for his last 235,000 from the cutoff. Action was back on the Batis and he quickly called to put Byrne at risk.

It was a fair fight that went Byrne's way after the 2♥7♦J♠J♥10♣ runout left him best with his ace for the double up.

Batis, on the other hand, took a relatively small hit to his big stack and is still among the chip leaders with about 1,800,000.

From the 114 mystery bounty prizes in play, just 68 envelopes remain following a flurry of bounty pulls during the break.

The good news for those still in the field is that the top four prizes are still out there, headlined by the $90,000 and $50,000 bounties. Both $25,000 prizes also remain inside the chest.

Aussie Millions ambassador Van Marcus pulled the first $10,000 prize of the day, with Arana McDonald soon matching that feat.

Ciaran Paxman, Dean Blatt, and Jiaxu Chen were among those to uncover $5,000 prizes.

Damelian Puts a Dent in Chen's Monster Stack

Jiaxu Chen has had quite a day so far, with both a pile of chips and bounty cards due to a willingness to gamble in the early going of Day 2.

In a recent hand, Chen opened to 40,000 from early position and called a shove of 355,000 from Robert Damelian. who was on the button.

It was a loose call from Chen, who was happy to hunt for another elimination and subsequent bounty card.

However, the A♦J♥2♥4♥4♣ runout left Damelian best with aces-up to secure himself a double up.

"That's no fun," Chen said, who still sits with a monstrous stack of about 2,700,000.
