Kenna James vs Ed Scharf

Kenna James
Kenna James
Kenna James and Ed Scharf are dueling fiercely out on a table featuring the likes of Mick "The Hoon", James Potter and Sarah Bilney.

In a recent confrontation Kenna defended the button against the cutoff raise of Scharf. However after a check-raised flop, and betting on the turn, Kenna had to fold the river on a board of {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

However Kenna was able to get one back a few hands later. With the board reading {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{Q-Clubs} the two players reached a showdown with Scharf tabling {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for two pair, however Kenna had rivered a straight with his {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

After a small stumble, Kenna has recovered nicely and now sits with around 15,000 in chips.

Smooth

Tournament chip-leader Andrew Demetriou just added a few thousand more in chips to his stack after calling an opponent's river bet holding {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades} on a {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{J-Hearts} board. His opponent, Jamie Pickering, tabled {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for air.

Demetriou is fast approaching the 30,000 mark in chips and shows no signs of slowing down.

Scharf vs The Hoon

Ed Scharf
Ed Scharf
Ed Scharf and Mick "The Hoon" Stanton have become reacquainted at the table today after previous knowing of each other through their online duels. In a recent hand Scharf got the better of "The Hoon", rivering a straight with his {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} on a board of 8-T-J-Q-K. "The Hoon" flipped over pocket tens in disgust exclaiming "I can't beat you online and I can't beat you live either!"

They are enjoying the opportunity for some colorful discussion at the table without having to worry about having their chat privileges taken away!

Leo Boxell Runs Bluff

Leo Boxell
Leo Boxell
After calling bets the whole way from the player on the button, Leo Boxell decided to take a shot at the pot from the big blind, representing a jack with a bet on the river on a board of {J-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{J-Hearts}. His opponent sighed before making a reluctant call. Boxell flipped over {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for nothing but ambition and the {5-Hearts}{8-Clubs} of his opponent was good for the pot.

Boxell has now slipped to around 4,000 chips.

Anna Wroblewski Eliminated

Anna Wroblewski
Anna Wroblewski
Anna Wroblewski had been having a rough day connecting with flops but managed to get her money in good with pocket tens against her opponent's pocket sixes. However another six on the flop gave her opponent a set and was enough to send Anna to an early exit.

Timex Gets a Lucky Chop

Michael "Timex" McDonald loved the flop of {8-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} when he squeezed another look at his hole cards and saw {9-Spades}{7-Spades} for the second nuts. However when he got his remaining chips into the middle he was devastated to see his opponent had flopped the stone cold nuts with {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}!

Needing a miracle to survive, the turn landed the {A-Clubs} but amazingly the river was the {Q-Clubs} and both players played their nine for a chopped pot to keep Timex alive in the tournament!
