Michael "Timex" McDonald Doubles Up

Jozef Berec limped in from mid-position and Michael "Timex" McDonald raised from the button. The big blind called, as did Berec and the three players took a flop of {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}. The action checks around and the free turn card is the {J-Spades}. This time the player in the big blind leads out with a 500 chip bet. Berec folds and McDonald announces a raise. The big blind makes the call and the two players see a river of {2-Diamonds}. McDonald is only left with 125 chips at this point, so he pushes them in and his opponent makes a crying call.

McDonald flips over {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for a pair of jacks which is good enough to take down the pot and receive a much needed double up.

Huntly Gets Help

Dennis Huntly
Dennis Huntly
All in for his tournament life holding Q-J against an opponent's A-3, Dennis Huntly was happy to see the flop come K-10-9, giving him the absolute nuts. The turn and river blanked out and Huntly doubled through to 2,000 in chips.

"You're my dealer!"

Jim Sachinidis
Jim Sachinidis
On a board showing {2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, Jim Sachinidis passed the first action to Rayan Nathan who tossed a single 500 chip into the middle. He was called by an unknown player on the button, who was all in for his last 75, and Sachinidis made the call from the small blind.

The {7-Hearts} was the last card off the deck and Sachinidis led into Nathan with a 500 bet. Clearly suspecting the river was a bad card for him, Nathan reluctantly tossed a 500 chip towards the middle and made the call, appearing as though he'd already conceded the hand.

"You're my dealer!" Sachinidis told Crown dealer Anthony Molinaro, as he turned over the {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}, revealing a rivered set of sevens. Nathan frowned as he tossed his cards high into the air and into the muck, upon realizing his bad luck. Meanwhile, across the table, the unknown player had quietly turned over a pocket pair of deuces, giving him a full house - though he'd stood up out of his seat as if to walk away a loser, not knowing that he'd won the main pot. Sachinidis scooped a small side pot worth just under 2,000 in chips.

Nathan told the table he made the call on the river with pocket kings.

Alex Keating Eliminated

Jim Sachindis has just taken out another victim out on table 32. This time he clashed with Alex Keating on a board of T-8-6-J-A. Sachindis' pair of tens was enough to take down the pot and eliminate a disappointed Alex Keating.

The Croc is Out

Billy Argyros, aka "The Croc," has just been eliminated from today's tournament. As per usual, "The Croc" got his money in with the best hand. In this case, he held A-K and was up against two players who each held the same hand, A-Q.

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

Croc reluctantly departed from his table stating, "Typical."

Bergren Eliminated

Sol Bergren eliminated
Sol Bergren eliminated
Sol Bergren has just been sent to the rail by his neighbor at the table in James Potter.

Potter wasn't proud of how it happened when asked of the elimination.

"Holding {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}, I rivered a straight to break his {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}".

Bergren is more known for his success in No Limit Holdem play but Potter was pretty pleased still to no longer have Sol at his table.
