Wardlaw Takes Pot Off Sundberg

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Matt Sundberg opened to 8,000 in early position and Charles Wardlaw three-bet jammed a stack of about 70,000 as the player next to act.

The action folded back to Sundberg, who entered the tank for several minutes as Wardlaw tipped the cocktail waitress for bringing him his order of french fries. He then took a heap of hundred-dollar bills from his wallet and shuffled through them as Sundberg thought through a decision.

"Send me cash! I'm all-in!" yelled Wardlaw, who was already all-in.

Sundberg eventually folded and Wardlaw asked him if he had ace-queen.

"Yep," Sundberg responded, though he did not show.

"I have ace-king and he lays down ace-queen. Unbelievable! This guy's a pro."

Malone Smokes Compton

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

John Compton moved all-in with a short-stack and got called by Dickie Malone, who had his opponent covered.

John Compton: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Dickie Malone: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

It was a flip heading to. the. flop of {2-Spades}{9-Spades}{j-Clubs}, which launched Malone in front with a pair of jacks. The board finished out {3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} to improve Malone to trips to eliminate Compton.

Compton left the tournament area and Malone blew smoke from an imaginary finger gun as the dealer shipped him the pot.

Four-Bet Wins it for Larsen

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Caleb Larsen opened to 5,500 in early position and a player flat-called before Matt Sundberg three-bet. to. 21,500 in late position.

The action folded to Larsen, wasted no time four-betting to 61,000. The flat-called folded and Sundberg folded {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} face-up, prompting Larsen to show {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

It was yet another good fold for Sundberg, who earlier today folded top set against the nut flush and later laid down top pair against a Broadway straight.

Levy Takes Huge Lead After Stacking Thrift

Level 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Gil Levy
Gil Levy

An early position player opened to 2,500 and two players flat-called, including Gil Levy on the button. Robert Thrift, who had become the table villain through his aggressive playing style and loud table demeanor, three-bet to 29,000 from the small blind. Only Levy called.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Thrift led all-in for around 150,000, a massive overbet from one of the biggest stacks in the room. Levy snap-called as the only player at the table with Thrift covered.

Robert Thrift: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Gil Levy: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Thrift had air and Levy was far in front with top pair. The {j-Spades} on the turn gave Levy a full house and had Thrift drawing dead headed to the {7-Clubs} on the river.

"Double up! Easy money! Finally got you!" yelled Levy, who was filming the hand and had clearly had enough of his lubricated opponent.

"Yep, you got me," Thrift said quietly as he stood up and left the table after a rollercoaster hour that saw him go from chip leader to bust.
