Dykeman Finds a Call With Bottom Pair

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Andrew Dykeman
Andrew Dykeman

A player in late position opened and Andrew Dykeman defended from the big blind.

The flop of {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs} checked through and Dykeman check-called a bet of 1,600 on the {7-Diamonds} turn. Dykeman checked again on the {k-Hearts} river and his opponent fired for 2,000. Dykeman made the call.

The opponent showed {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for queen high and Dykeman flipped over {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a pair of threes to take down the pot.

"Hey, PokerNews! Check this out!" Dykeman yelled with a beer in hand after finding the call with bottom pair.

"Be sure to note how shocked everyone looked," the dealer contributed.

White Eliminates Levy

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Daniel White opened to 2,000 on the button and the small blind called. Gil Levy, who had just moved to the table, three-bet jammed after limping in from early position and White re-jammed with Levy covered. The small blind folded.

Gil Levy: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Daniel White: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts} to give White a set of kings and give Levy hope with a flush draw. The {2-Clubs} on the turn didn't change things and the {2-Diamonds} on the river gave White a full house to eliminate Levy.

Full House for Reynolds

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Anthony "Stretch" Reynolds stacked an opponent in a big pot that the table relayed to PokerNews.

On a board of {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}, Reynolds bet 2,000 and his opponent raised to 6,000. Reynolds three-bet to 14,000 and the opponent four-bet shoved the rest of his stack. Reynolds called.

Opponent: {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Anthony "Stretch" Reynolds: {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

The opponent had a big hand with trips but Reynolds had the best of it the whole way as he flopped a set and filled up on the turn. The opponent had outs to a better full house but the {5-Diamonds} river didn't do it and Reynolds took down the big pot.

"I needed that one!" Reynolds yelled as the dealer shipped him the pot.

Hull Eliminates One

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

A short stack moved in for around 5,000 and two players called, including Henry Hull.

"Ugh, I need help," the all-in player said as he headed to a flop three ways.

The flop landed {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Hull moved all-in for 18,000. The other player in the hand folded.

Opponent: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Henry Hull: {6-Spades}{5-Spades}

Hull was ahead with a pair of sixes but the at-risk opponent had outs with overcards. The {j-Clubs} on the turn gave him a flush draw to go with his overs, but the {k-Hearts} on the river sealed his fate and he hit the rail.

"You coming back in?" someone asked the busted player.

"Maybe. My wife keeps texting me," he replied.

Double Three-Bet from Spraggins

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

Gary Spraggins limped in an opponent raised to 1,200. Spraggins then three-bet to 3,200 and the opponent called.

Spraggins led out for 3,000 on the {8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} flop and his opponent raised to 7,500. Spraggins wasted little time three-betting to 16,000 and his opponent wasted less time folding.

"You got me," the opponent said in defeat.
