Yuriy Garifoulline

With 20,000 in a three-bet pot on the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, a big hand was brewing between chip leader Edward Leonard and Yuriy Garifoulline.

Leonard checked in the hijack and Garifoulline bet 7,500 from the cutoff. Leonard called.

Leonard then check-called Garifoulline's 40,000 jam on the {2-Spades} turn.

Yuriy Garifoulline: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Edward Leonard: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The at risk player was in a great position and then secured the double up after the {3-Spades} completed the board.

David Carapella
David Carapella

David Carapella was in a three-way pot against Darren Elias and Dejuante Alexander on a board of {j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}.

Elias bet 1,200 on the flop and Alexander called. Carapella moved all-in for around 35,000 and only Elias called.

David Carapella: {6-Spades}{4-Spades}
Darren Elias: {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Elias' top pair was no good against the trips of Carapella, whose hand held up as the board ran out {5-Spades}{k-Hearts} to improve Elias to a worthless two pair.

Joe McKeehen

Joe McKeehen opened on the button and called a three-bet from the player in the big blind.

The big blind bet 9,000 on the flop of {5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and McKeehen called. The big blind checked on the {k-Spades} turn and McKeehen checked back.

The big blind checked again on the {8-Spades} river and McKeehen fired a sizable bet of 28,000. The big blind snap-called, only to muck {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} face-up when McKeehen showed the winner with {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for a pair of kings.

Button Player: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Joe McKeehen: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

McKeehen was the underdog but immediately leapfrogged his opponent following the {10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop. McKeehen secured the elimination after the {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} runout.

Daniels Rakes in a Small One

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Jake Daniels
Jake Daniels

Jake Daniels opened to 1,700 from middle position and was called by the big blind.

On the {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop, the big blind checked and Daniels bet 1,700. Daniels tried to return his cards to the dealer thinking his opponent had folded but that wasn't the case.

As Daniel's cards had not touched the muck, he was able to retrieve them and the big blind called.

"I should have raised there but I would've felt bad," said the big blind.

Action then checked through on the {a-Hearts} turn and {5-Diamonds} river.

The big blind turned over his {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for ten-high. Daniels saw his opponent's cards but did not say whether he had better.

"No way," echoed Farrell, who thought the big blind was going to win with his missed straight draw.

The big blind began to stand up but then sat down after Daniels turned over his {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} to win the pot. The table then eruoted with laughter before the next hand was dealt.
