2023 BetMGM Poker Championship
The Tournament Director has just confirmed that this will be the last level of the night and the remaining players will bag up at its completion. The target goal is 64 players remaining so that these players will fit comfortably in the PokerGO Studio for tomorrow's restart.
Level: 19
Blinds: 10,000/15,000
Ante: 15,000
The remaining 71 players are now on their final break of the night and will return shortly to play the final level. The red 1,000 chips will also be raced off and colored up at this time.
Johann Ibanez opened to 27,000 from under the gun. Steven Rosen called from the small blind and the big blind also tagged along.
Ibanez continued for 30,000 on the A♥10♦6♥ flop. Steven Rosen jammed for 185,000, which folded out the big blind. Ibanez made the call after about 20 seconds.
Steven Rosen: A♠7♠
Johann Ibanez: A♣3♣
Rosen was ahead with his seven kicker playing and it stayed that way on the A♦ turn. The 3♠ river spiked the felt to improve Ibanez to a full house.
The pair, as expected, had different reactions to the river card. Rosen slammed his fists onto the rail of the poker table while Ibanez cheered when the pot was pushed his way.
Jesse Lonis was first to act on a heads-up flop of 2♣K♦3♠ and he decided to check it over to big stack Johann Ibanez who bet 20,000.
Lonis made the call and the two went to the turn Q♠, which saw another check-call from Lonis after Ibanez bet 60,000.
On the river 5♠, Lonis checked for a third time and after some thought, Ibanez checked back. Lonis then flipped over K♠K♥ for top set of kings and Ibanez quickly mucked.
"Eh, bad river," Lonis shrugged as he pulled in the pot.
Owen Savir raised to 80,000 from the cutoff, leaving just 12,000 behind. Anuj [Removed:550] jammed from the button and action folded back to Savir.
Savir used up his five-time banks before making his decision as he was looking to make the next pay jump, which increases when 72 are left.
As his time nearly ticked away, he called for his tournament life.
Owen Savir: Q♠J♣
Anuj [Removed:550]: A♦Q♣
Savir was dominated but it didn't matter as he paired his jack on the K♣J♠2♥ flop to take the lead. The 3♥9♥ runout ensured his survival.
Joshua Boulton opened to 24,000 from the middle position. Ivan Galinec three-bet to 56,000 on his direct left. Action folded back to Boulton who called.
Boulton quickly checked the Q♦J♠3♠ flop over to Galinec who continued for 30,000. Boulton made it 115,000 and was called.
The K♠ turn prompted Boulton to check and he let go of his hand when Galinec jammed for around 400,000.
