Sundiata DeVore opened to 20,000 but was then three-bet by Raul Martinez to 70,000. DeVore made the call and the two went heads-up to a flop of 3♠5♥J♦.

DeVore checked over to Martinez, who continued for 30,000 but then DeVore moved all in for around 160,000. Martinez quickly made the call and the cards were tabled, with DeVore at risk of elimination.

DeVore was a big favorite to double up with his superior holding, and the runout of 5♦Q♥ was pure for him to secure the double-up.

Erfan Geula opened to 20,000 from early position and Chance Kornuth defended his big blind.

On the K♥Q♠J♥ flop, Kornuth check-called for 20,000 before the 10♥ turn checked through to the 5♦ river.

Kornuth checked for a third time, and Geula bet 20,000. Kornuth made it 150,000 and was snap-called.

Kornuth had two pair with his Qx10x but Geula had Broadway with his A♥A♠.

"I didn't want to see that," said Bigot.

Livschitz had Bigot dominated but the latter had outs to the straight and the flush following the 5♠3♣2♠ flop. The 8♣9♥ turn and river kept Livschitz ahead and she collected the pot.

Stanton Tentnowski opened to 20,000 from the button before Peter Turmezey jammed as the bigger stack from the small blind. The big blind folded, and Tentowski called off the 135,000 he had behind.

"That's not even fun," commented Tentnowski as his opponent made a set on the 8♠7♣6♦ flop. The 9♣ turn then drew some "ooh's" from the table as there were some chop possibilities. However, the J♥ river completed the board, and Tentnowski bowed out.

The pair exchanged some nice words as they had been table neighbours for all of Day 2.
