Becker Busts
Level 5
: Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Jeremy Becker opened to 1,000 from middle position, and Daniel Escherich on his direct left three-bet to 3,000. Becker folded when action was back onto him.
The very next hand, Becker opened to the same amount, and Escherich three-bet to the exact same amount. This time, Becker made the call.
On a flop of 9♥10♠3♣. Becker check-raised to 4,500 following his opponent's bet of 1,800. Escherich called, and the two saw a 4♠ turn. Becker shoved, and Escherich called.
Jeremy Becker: Q♦J♦
Daniel Escherich: Q♥Q♠
The Q♣ river improved both players, but it was Escherich who had the best of it to send his opponent home. Becker has since re-entered, as has Joe McKeehen, who busted on another table.
