Ward Ships a Double

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Ross Ward
Ross Ward

We're not sure of the preflop action but we do know it culminated with Ross Ward being all in for 43,500.

Ward: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Ward was ahead but his opponent was drawing very much alive to two paint cards. The {8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop paired Ward but it also delivered his opponent a gutshot straight draw to a ten.

Fortunately for Ward, neither the {4-Spades} turn nor {9-Diamonds} river hurt him and he was pushed the pot.

"I'll Regret This"

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Gene Brandon
Gene Brandon

With 14,000 in the pot and a board reading {5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, Aubrey Williams bet 7,500 from the big blind and Gene Brandon called from the cutoff.

After the {5-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Brandon checked out of turn. That prompted Williams to toss out a bet of 17,500.

"I'll regret this," Brandon said before calling for about half his remaining stack.

Williams insta-mucked and Brandon showed the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for ace-king high.

"Nice call," someone at the table complimented him.

Little Gets a Little From Haberman

Level 10 : 800/1,500, 1,500 ante
Timothy Little
Timothy Little

On the river, the board read {9-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{5-} and Timothy Little's {10-}{10-} was good to take the pot from Michael Haberman, who had flopped top/top with his {a-Spades}{9-Spades}.

Little is back up to starting stack while Haberman is still in good shape with about 55,000.

Sami Benhayun Leads Flight A

Level 10 : 800/1,500, 1,500 ante
Sami Benhayun
Sami Benhayun

After sending yet another player to the rail, Sami Benhayun is up to 230,000 and leading the remaining players in Flight A of the Deepest Stack.

He's only got two reported cashes here at Borgata, but both were final table appearances. In the 2018 Fall Poker Open, he finished 4th in the $300 Deeper Stack NLH event for $4,015, then in the 2019 June DeepStacks Challenge, he took home $5,125 for second place in a four-way adjusted payout.

Hom Flushes an Opponent

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
David Hom
David Hom

The preflop action escaped us but we do know that a player was all in for his last 8,800 and primed to double through David Hom in a blind-versus-blind situation.

Hom: {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Big Blind: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The player in the big blind had the better kicker, but it didn't matter as the board ran out {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} to give Hom a rivered flush and the knockout.
