Uppalapati Takes One from Madsen

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Jeff Madsen opened to 800 on the button, he was call by Mukharji Uppalapati in the small blind and another player in the big. The dealer spread out {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} on the flop and action checked to Madsen who bet 1,300.

Only Uppalapati called the bet and a {5-Spades} landed as the turn card. Both played checked to the {5-Hearts} river where Uppalapati bet 1,500. Madsen thought for a brief moment before he let his hand go and Uppalapati added another pot to his already healthy stack.

Jamshidi Finds a River Bet from Kuo

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

The flop read {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and there was around 700 in the pot. Action checked to Kitty Kuo, she bet 300 and Sirous Jamshidi check-raised to 1,000.

Kuo called and the dealer flipped over a {10-Clubs} on the turn. Jamshidi pushed in 4,300 after seeing the ten and Kuo calked without hesitation.

The {10-Diamonds} completed the board and Jamshidi checked to Kuo who fired in 8,000. Jamshidi quickly called, Kou tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} for a straight but it was not good as Jamshidi showed {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, giving him a flopped flush and the pot.

Conniff Returns to Borgata

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante
Asher Conniff
Asher Conniff

Asher Conniff made history back in 2015 when he "misclicked" his way into the World Poker Tour World Championship event here at Borgata during the Spring Poker Open. That was after he had already won the series opener for more than $203,000.

He accidentally entered an online satellite to the $15,400 buy-in event and ended up winning his seat, then went on to win the whole thing for more than $973,000.

He continues to grind with the masses, cashing seven times at this summer's WSOP and was recently in Cherokee, NC, at a WSOP Circuit stop where he finished 19th in the Championship event for $12,273.

Today he's sharing a table with David Jackson, on his immediate left, and Vladimir Peck.

A Few Regulars in the Field

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

The tournament has now reached the 230 entry mark and a few faces stand out in the field. Dejuante Alexander is a WPT regular who has over two million in tournament cashes with a couple of six-figure scores coming in WPT events.

Michael Gagliano and Vlad Alexandrov are two Borgata pros that have taken their respective seats here today in the hopes of a deep run in the main event.

Sridhar Sangannagari has been seen going deep in a few events thus far during the BPO series and certainly looks to continue his heater during the main event. Sangannagari took down a $400 satellite last night on BorgataPoker that saw only one spot taking home the $3,500 seat.
