On the river of a J♣8♠5♠Q♣10♠ board, Antonio Serrao checked out of the big blind. Aaron Mermelstein in the cutoff bet 20,000 for more than half of his stack and Serrao eventually tossed in a single chip for the call.

Mermelstein tabled the 4♦4♠ for the under pair and Serrao won the healthy pot with 8♥8♣ for a flopped set of eights.

One hand later, Mark Nadaban raised to 1,400 and earned three callers including Serrao now in the small blind. The Q♣7♣5♦ flop was checked to Nadaban and he bet 3,100. Serrao and the big blind check-called, then check-folded the 2♠ turn when Nadaban bet 15,000.

A player opened to 1,200 under the gun and John Erickson called on his left, as did the hijack. The big blind then squeezed to 8,600, and only Erickson called.

On the 10♣9♥6♠ flop, the big blind led for 17,000 before Erickson jammed as the covering stack, and the big blind snap-called off their 38,100 stack.

Erickson had outflopped his opponent's kings with a set of nines. Nothing changed on the 3♥J♦ runout, and Erickson collected the rest of the fallen's stack.

Both then checked down the 3♠ turn and 9♦ river after which Melnyk was shown J♦10♦, he had that beat with the A♠5♣.

The K♠9♦8♣ flop gave Bianco a set of eights and Workman needed running cards to avoid elimination. He gained some equity with the 7♦ turn but the 7♥ river paired the board for Bianco to improve further.

"I gonna rebuy now," Workman said on his way out.

Heads-up to the river with a little over 15,000 in the middle, the board read A♣5♥K♥9♥J♥.

Steven Sarmiento led for 15,000 with just 3,000 behind. Benedetto Bianco on his left jammed to ask for the rest of his stack. After a long tank, Sarmiento opted to let it go and hold onto his last few blinds as he flashed the 10♥.

Bianco then tabled A♥5♠ for the nuts, showing Sarmiento that he made a good fold.

"Tight-ass! Ten-high flush folded?" Bianco commented, "Champion!"

One hand later, he was in the small blind and got it in against the short stack of Mike Dentale for around 10,000.

Tsachalis Gets a Shove Through Against Rocha

With some 15,000 in the middle to the K♦4♠3♦6♣A♥ river, Zachery Tsachalis checked and Alex Rocha then bet 15,000 with fewer than that behind.

Tsachalis check-raised all-in for 23,300 and had his opponent covered by a small margin. Rocha reluctantly folded and Tsachalis flashed the 4♥ before he tossed his cards via flying saucer towards the dealer.

"He was trying to show his cards," Rocha said and the dealer grabbed the entire muck to flip over, revealing the 4♣ for a set of fours as well.
