David Franks moved all in for 800,000 from the cutoff and Derek Childress called on the button.

Childress had woken up with aces to leave Franks at risk, and the 7♥Q♣K♦6♥4♦ board sealed Franks' elimination to bring the field down to two tables.
Leo Saiag moved all in from the hijack and Dennis Melandro called from the small blind.

Melandro remained ahead on the 7♣4♠2♠ flop and 2♦ turn but Saiag made a pair on the K♥ river to keep his hopes alive.
There was around 1,700,000 in the middle on the 4♠6♥K♥10♣9♦ board.
Leo Saiag checked in the cutoff, and James Lauer shoved for 1,130,000 from the button.
After a few minutes in the tank, Saiag called.
"We're not f***ing dead. Let's go!" shouted Lauer as he tabled Q♠J♠ for the nut-straight.
"Five big blinds, up to 25, let's go," the defending champ continued as he captured the room's attention with his celebrations.
Craig Robertson raised to 225,000 on the button, Lingyu Zen moved all in for 1,565,000 in the small blind, and Robertson called.

The 5♦5♥3♦2♠4♠ board gave both players a wheel, and Zen sat back down in his seat to chop the pot until the rest of the table pointed out that his six-high straight had actually won him the pot.
"I thought it was a chop," Zen said with a laugh.
Leo Saiag raised to 350,000 on the button, James Lauer moved all in for 740,000 in the small blind, and Saiag called.

Saiag couldn't connect with the Q♥J♥5♠10♠6♠ board, and Lauer's ace-high stayed in the lead to earn him another double up.
"Let's go! We're not done! Chip and a chair," he shouted.
At another table, Richard Rossetti and Derek Childress went to the turn on a board of 9♠4♥9♣J♣. Rossetti then bet 475,000 from middle position, Childress moved all in for 730,000 in the big blind, and Rossetti called.
Rossetti showed Q♣J♦ for two pair, but Childress had flopped a full house with 4♦4♠. The river was the 8♣ and Childress doubled up.
Mark Stover opened to 450,000 from the cutoff and Dennis Melandro called from the small blind.
Melandro check-called for 475,000 on the 5♥5♣7♣ flop, bringing in the J♦ turn. Melandro checked, and Stover fired out another bet. He then called off his stack of around 2,500,000 when Melandro jammed as the big stack.

Melandro slow-played his kings, and Stover was elminated after he failed to find an ace or jack on the river.
Leo Saiag raised to 375,000 in the cutoff, James Lauer moved all in from the cutoff, and Saiag called for 1,975,000.

Lauer had found two kings and was poised for the knockout as the 9♦2♦3♥ flop gave Saiag some hope with a flush draw. The 6♣ fell on the turn, but the A♣ came on the river to give Saiag a pair and the double up.
"God! F**K!. Story of my year. I just can't fade that," Lauer said as he shot out of his seat and paced around the table muttering to himself.
A few hands later, Paul Spitzberg limped in from early position and Lauer moved all in for 185,000 in the cutoff. Anthony Wong and Dennis Melandro called in the blinds, as did Spitzberg.
Melandro bet 275,000 on the Q♠3♣2♦ flop, and both Wong and Spitzberg folded.

Melandro had flopped a pair to take the lead, while Lauer picked up a flush draw on the K♣ turn. The Q♣ river gave him his flush, and the defending champion quadrupled up.
"We're not dead yet! I hate to be that guy, but that's been the story of my year," Lauer shouted.

Coleem Chestnut raised to 200,000 from the cutoff and then called when Concetta Rinaldi jammed for around 2,000,000 from the button.

Chestnut was crushed, and remained behind after the Q♠8♦5♥ flop and 4♦ turn. The 6♣ river, however, gave Chestnut a straight and he cracked Rinaldio's kings to claim another stack.
Aaron Fischer jammed for 1,220,000 from under the gun. David Franks called off his stack of 760,000 from the button before the blinds folded.

After paying the blinds, Fischer moved all in for his last 210,000 from the button. Richard Rossetti and Chadd Beatty called from the blinds.
The 10♦9♥3♣ flop checked through to the A♥ turn. Rossetti check-called for 225,000, bringing in the 5♠ river. This time, Rossetti check-called for 400,000.
"Aces-up," announced Rossetti, who tabled A♦5♦. That had Beatty's AxJx beat, and Fischer was sent to the rail after turning over 10♥5♣ for a worse two pair.
