Thiago Crema bet 13,000 from the big blind on a flop of 4♦3♦K♣ and Rodrigo Selouan raised to 33,000 in the small blind. Crema called, and the 5♥ fell on the turn.
Selouan then bet 40,000, and Crema called to see the 2♣ river. Selouan moved all in for 142,000, and Crema took a minute before calling.
Selouan could only show 10♦8♦ for a missed flush draw, and Crema turned over A♣2♦ for a straight to win the pot and send Selouan to the rail.
Daniel Rezaei had just reentered as he went three-handed to a flop of J♦9♦6♥. Ottomar Ladva then bet 27,000 from the button, Fausto Martello called in the small blind, while Rezaei also called in the big blind.
Rezaei then bet 30,000 on the 3♦ turn, and here is where controversy erupted. Ladva folded, but Martello tossed in an orange 100,000 chip. The dealer ruled it just a call as he didn't announce raise, but Martello loudly protested that he had meant to raise.
A floor was called over who confirmed the dealer's ruling, but that didn't mollify Martello who asked for another tournament official. It took several minutes to resolve the matter, but his call stood and he and Rezaei saw the 7♦ river.
Both players checked and Martello showed Q♦6♦ for a flush. "If you raise, I fold anyways," Rezaei told him as he mucked.
Cristian Aquino was recently eliminated at this table.
Renan Bruschi raised to 12,000 in the hijack and Pedro Padilha called in the small blind, as did Martin Kabrhel in the big blind.
All three players checked the Q♠8♦6♣ flop. Kabrhel then bet 21,000 on the 8♣ turn, and only Padilha called.
Kabrhel bet another 68,500 on the 6♥ river, and Padilha used up a few time banks before calling with A♣J♣. Kabrhel, though, held up K♦6♦ for a full house as he took down the pot.
Yuri Dzivielevski raised to 10,000 under the gun with K♠K♣ and picked up calls from Pedro Padilha in the hijack and Gabriel Tavares in the small blind.
Action checked to Padilha on the 8♦4♦2♥ flop and he bet 10,000. Tavares called, but Dzivielevski then raised to 45,000. Both opponents folded, and Dzivielevski took the pot.
Joao Simao and Alisson Piekazewicz checked to the turn on a board of 6♥J♥Q♦3♦ when Simao bet 38,000 from the button. Piekazewicz called in the big blind.
Simao bet another 130,000 on the 10♠ river, and Piekazewicz gathered up the chips and slammed them down right in front of Simao as if giving up the pot already. His instincts proved correct, as Simao showed 3♥3♠ for a set to win the pot.
At the other outer table, Daniel Rezaei got in his last 90,000 from the big blind with J♠3♠ on a board of 3♥6♣6♥5♥A♥, but Thiago Crema had 8♠8♦ on the button to win the pot and send Rezaei to the rail.
Rodrigo Selouan moved all in for 130,000 from the button and Leonardo Rizzo shot out of his seat and snap-called in the cutoff.
Rodrigo Selouan: 4♣4♠
Leonardo Rizzo: J♣10♦
Selouan needed his small pair to hold up, and the K♦2♠3♥ flop kept him in the lead. Rizzo began pacing around the table as the 7♣ fell on the turn, but he missed the 9♠ river and handed Selouan the double up.
Heads-up on a board of 6♣Q♠8♦Q♦, Alisson Piekazewicz bet 38,000 from the button and Mehdi Chaoui called in the cutoff.
The river was the 4♠ and Piekazewicz moved all in. Chaoui called for his last 152,500, and Piekazewicz showed K♥J♠ for a bluff. Chaoui turned over Q♥10♠ for trips and earned the double up.
Renan Bruschi raised to 11,000 under the gun and Gabriel Tavares called in the big blind.
Bruschi continued for 12,000 on the A♣6♣2♥ flop and Tavares raised to 46,000. Bruschi called, and the J♠ fell on the turn.
Tavares slowed down and checked, then folded when Bruschi bet 100,000.
Fabiano Kovalski then bet 10,000 from the button on a flop of 6♣Q♥9♠ and Bruschi called in the big blind.
Kovalski bet another 60,000 on the 3♦ turn, and Bruschi again called. The 2♥ river was checked down, and Bruschi showed A♣6♦ for a pair of sixes to win the pot.
