Suzuki Rivers the Nuts

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Patrick Suzuki opened to 4,000 from the cutoff and was three-bet to 12,000 by Ryan Simoneau, who was in the big blind. Suzuki confirmed the amount and put in chips to call. The flop came {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and Simoneau checked to Suzuki, who checked behind.

The turn was {3-Hearts} and Simoneau bet 7,000. Suzuki called. The river fell {10-Hearts} and Simoneau bet another 18,000. Suzuki took about 20 seconds before putting in a raise to 45,000. Simoneau then went into the tank and eventually called.

"I have a straight," said Suzuki as he tabled {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a rivered Broadway.

Simoneau slammed down {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} onto the felt, disgusted at the sequence of events that had just transpired.

Zedo Doubles Through Wilkie

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Corey Zedo
Corey Zedo

Kevin Palmer opened to 4,000 from early position and received a call from Corey Zedo on the button. Steve Wilkie was in the small blind and three-bet to 15,500. Palmer quickly folded and Zedo called, taking action heads up to a flop of {2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. Wilkie continued, betting 25,000 and Zedo stuck around.

Wilkie fired a second barrel for 30,000 on the turn {3-Spades} and Zedo took about a minute before announcing he was all in for a total of 42,300. Wilkie called.

Corey Zedo: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Steve Wilkie: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Zedo needed to fade the two remaining nines in the deck on the river and he did just that as the dealer burned and turned a safe {7-Hearts} and he locked up the double at Wilkie's expense.

Mueller Applies the Pressure

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

There was 8,000 in the middle on a flop of {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} with four way action. Corey Zedo checked from the small blind, as did Steve Wilkie in the big blind. Andy Tinkle was under the gun and bet 4,000. Chris Mueller called from the button, as did both Zedo and Wilkie .

The four players saw the turn {8-Hearts} and action checked to Mueller, who piled in around 80,000. All three players folded and he took down the pot.

Johnathan Dempsey
Johnathan Dempsey

David Blankenship was seen a stack that was around half of what it was before the dinner break. He shared that he ran his pocket kings into Johnathan Dempsey's pocket aces preflop and was unable to get there.

Blankenship still has over 100 big blinds in his stack, meanwhile, Dempsey now finds himself among the big stacks in the room as the field continues to condense.
