Suominen Gets Maximum Value

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Erno Suominen
Erno Suominen

In a three-bet pot worth 4,400, Erno Suominen bet 1,600 from the small blind on a 3102 flop. Snorre Sund raised to 4,000 on the button, which Suominen called after some thought.

Both players quickly checked through the 4 turn, prompting Suominen to bet 8,000 on the 2 river. Sund called almost instantly, but he could not beat the 1010 of Suominen, who had flopped top set and rivered a full house.

"Would you have called an all-in?" Suominen asked after the hand. Sund answered that he would not have done so as Suominen stacked up his chips.

Sorm Storms Up Leaderboard With Aces

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Jonny Raninen raised to 400 under the gun, which Andre Sorm three-bet to 1,000 as next to act. It folded to Diego Rodriguez Cantillana in the big blind, who called, after which Raninen four-bet to 6,400.

That was still not enough for Raninen, however, who upped the ante to 12,600, prompting Rodriguez to quickly get out of the way. Raninen took a few moments before he shoved all in, and Sorm instantly called off his stack of 22,600.

Sorm flopped a set on A82 to leave Raninen drawing dead on the 10 turn. The 3 river was dealt as Sorm raked in a huge double-up.

Raninen was still left with over 60 big blinds, while Vlazznin Dida had already doubled his starting stack on this active table.

Zobel Shoves Early

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Three-way to a flop of 865, it checked to Per Indersund in the hijack, who bet 400. Martin Zobel made it 1,700 on the button, folding out the other player in the hand. Indersund tossed in a call to the J turn, which he checked to Zobel.

Zobel fired an over-bet of 5,000. Indersund quickly called, and the 5 river completed the board. Indersund checked again, prompting Zobel to move all in for a massive bet of 21,900.

Indersund spent a few minutes in the tank before he let go of his cards and surrendered the pot to Zobel.

The annual Coolbet Open has reached its eighth edition, and is already in full swing. Taking place at the Chesterfield Poker Club in Tallinn, Estonia, for the second year in a row, the festival once again promises a shelter from the sweltering summer sun with a friendly and player-first atmosphere. With a schedule full of low-stakes hold'em and mixed-game tournaments, the Coolbet Open caters to every type of poker player. Most eyes will be on the flagship €550 Main Event, however, which kicks off today at noon local time with Day 1a.

Last year, the Main Event attracted a field of 504 entries for a prize pool of €244,440. It was Norway's Anders Bjorkheim who took home the trophy and the top prize of €50,000 after a dominating final table performance which saw him eliminate every other player in spectacular fashion.
