In the 927th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway is joined by Connor Richards at Level 9 Studios to talk about the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) when it comes to poker content. The discussion stems from the recent controversy involving the World Series of Poker (WSOP) documentary 'No Limit', in which showrunner Dustin Iannotti admittedly used AI in edits involving Alan Keating's quotes. The show was pulled from YouTube by the WSOP as a result, and opened up a whole can of worms.
PokerNews also upset Shaun Deeb with an AI oops of our own, while ClubWPT Gold’s tweet stirred up a heated debate about marketing, women in poker, and more. It was a debate that Abby Merk jumped into headfirst while at the Asian Poker Tour (APT), where she booked a tournament win! From there, you can see highlights from the 2nd Annual Big Deal for One Drop Charity Event during F1 Las Vegas, which involved Phil Hellmuth, Jennifer Tilly, and Antonio Esfandiari, just to name a few. Oh, and the title came down to Deeb and Squid Games: The Challenge star Steven Jones. Watch to find out who won!
Chad and Connor then recap recent tournament wins by Aaron Johnson and Jake Long at MSPT Ameristar East Chicago, Felipe Boianovsky taking down the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) $50K Super High Roller, and Ted Jackson-Spivack claiming three CMSOP titles before they share what they're thankful for on this Thanksgiving holiday.
Find out all about those stories and more in this week's episode of the PokerNews Podcast!
Players are now on the final 15-minute break of the day, with two more levels of play when players return. The field stands at 50 entries so far, with 18 players remaining.
Maksim Shuts limped in from middle position and Youness Barakat limped behind from the hijack. Ying Kan limped from the small blind, before Luuk van den Belt raised to 25,000 from the big blind. Shuts and Barakat called, while Kan got out of the way.
The flop came Q♠J♠10♠. Van den Belt bet 20,000, and both opponents called.
Van den Belt fired a 55,000 bet on the K♠ turn. This time only Barakat called.
On the 10♦ river Van den Belt shoved for around 120,000, and Barakat snap-called. Van den Belt showed A♠Q♦8♠3♦ for the nut-flush, but Barakat had J♦J♥9♠8♥ for a rivered full house to send Van den Belt to the rail.
Joachim Haraldstad open ed from the hijack, Carlo van Ravenswoud three-bet to 55,000 from the button, Haraldstad four-bet to 165,000 and van Ravenswoud called.
The flop came Q♣9♥6♣. Haraldstad shoved for 265,000 and van Ravenswoud called with a covering stack.
Joachim Haraldstad: A♠A♣9♣8♥
Carlo van Ravenswoud: A♦J♥9♦8♠
van Ravenswould made two pair on the J♠ turn to briefly take the lead, but the 6♥ river improved Haraldstad to a higher two pair to double up.
Elsewhere in the tournament area, Filip Aleksic was recently eliminated.

If there was one thing that was characteristic of Andras Nemeth's run on the third and final day of the €10,300 PLO Grand Slam Malta Championship, it was the ability to show down full houses. No fewer than seven recorded times, the eventual champion won a pot with trips plus a pair, two of which were used to take down Aku Joentausta in a short heads-up battle after the two had discussed a deal. Nemeth was awarded €407,854 for his victory, as the pair had left €65,000 to play for, while Joentausta had to make do with the €325,346 he secured in the deal, his largest-ever recorded live cash as per The Hendon Mob.
It was Nemeth's first appearance at a Diamond Poker Series event, and the established high-stakes pro who goes by "probirs" online left quite the impression as he managed to conquer the field of 182 entries at Casino Malta and take the largest slice of the €1,880,000 prize pool. Nemeth's newly acquired Diamond Poker Series trophy will be a fitting addition to his cabinet filled with the many trophies he has collected since his first live poker victory in 2011.
