Trophy and €200,000 Up For Grabs at the Final Table of the Diamond Poker Series Tallinn The Million Opener
The first champion of the Diamond Poker Series Grand Slam Tallinn will be crowned today when the final table of the €2,200 The Million Opener begins at 2 p.m. local time.
The nine finalists are led by Puk Nabuurs of the Netherlands who takes the chip lead into the event’s final day with 14,250,000. At the opposite end of the leaderboard is WSOP bracelet winner Dario Alioto (2,700,000), whose nearly $2.5 million in live earnings include the title of the €25,500 High Roller at the last Diamond Poker Series stop in Tirana in January.

Sandwiched in between Nabuurs and Alito are four-card specialists who navigated their way through the 416-player field to get this far. They include Danyil Zaremba (11,250,000), Fredrik Lindstrom (11,200,000), and Tobias Andersen (7,725,000). In the middle of the pack sit Robin Palm (5,425,000), Taago Tamm (4,800,000), Lauri Varonen (4,525,000), and Mihkel Vitsur (2,700,000).
The action picks up with 24 minutes remaining in Level 24 with blinds of 100,000-200,000 and a 200,000 big blind ante. Players will go through as many 40-minute levels as it takes to crown a champion. Everyone left has locked up €18,340, while the champion earns €200,000 out of the €960,000 prize pool.
