"Gergy Boy" Fills Up to Shut Out Shuts

Puk Nabuurs put in a raise of 250,000 from the small blind and Maksim Shuts in early position and Gergo Nagy in middle position both called.

The flop came K♥J♦10♣ and Shuts moved all in for 325,000. Nagy called, while Nabuurs gave it some thought before folding.

Palm hit two pair on the 6♦A♥Q♦ flop, but Laihinen spiked a flush as the board ran out 8♠10♦ to earn the double up.

The hand before at this table, Palm had gone heads-up with Taago Tamm to the river on a board showing 2♠A♣6♦10♣9♦ and around 800,000 in the pot.

Tamm bet 650,000 from the button and Palm raised to 1,700,000 under the gun. Tamm went deep into the tank, but eventually folded after a few minutes as Palm won the massive pot without a showdown to take over the chip lead.
