Mattila Trips Up Vetelainen For a Double

Frederik Lindstrom raised to 210,000 on the button and Antti Vetelainen three-bet to 700,000 in the small blind. Jussi Mattila called for his last 275,000, while Lindstrom got out of the way.

Vetelainen had Mattila dominated with his aces, but the 533 flop gave Mattila trips and the lead. The rest of the board ran out 46 and Mattila doubled up.

Henry Kilbane, Bastian Bluem, and Christoforos Chrysochoidis were recently eliminated as the field went down to the final three tables before heading off on a 60-minute dinner break.

Pihela Calls Off Against Tamm

Igor Pihela and Taago Tamm built a pot of around 1,500,000 as they went heads-up to the A84 flop. Tamm then bet 450,000 from the small blind and Pihela called in middle position.

The turn was the Q and Tamm moved all in. Pihela used a few time banks before calling for his last 800,000.

Pihela showed AKJ10 for top pair, but Tamm had AK74 for two pair. The 5 river was no help to Pihela and Tamm took the massive pot to score the knockout.

At the same time at another table, Dario Alioto spiked a set of queens on the river to bust Jerry Odeen.

Klezys and Kumtepe Play a Big One Without a Pair

The turn was the 3 and Klezys bet 1,200,000. Kumtepe then moved all in for 1,400,000 and Klezys called.

"No pair," Kumtepe said, showing KQJ6 for a straight draw. Klezys had AK84 and his ace-high stayed in the lead through the 5 river to send Kumtepe to the rail.

Varonen Triples Up

Yusuf Kumtepe raised to 175,000 in the hijack and Andriy Lyubovetskiy called on the button. Lauri Varonen then moved all in for 485,000 in the big blind and both Kumtepe and Lyubovetskiy called.

Kumtepe and Lyubovetskiy checked down the KQ9K4 board. "Ace-queen is good," Varonen said, turning over AQJJ as both opponents quickly sent their cards into the muck.

Kasparas Klezys took the place of the departed Florian Kraft at this table, while Jessica Teusl was also recently eliminated.

Lindstrom Picks Up Aces to Bust Holdeew

Fredrik Lindstrom raised to 150,000 in the cutoff and Jussi Mattila called on the button. Dmitri Holdeew then reraised to 700,000 in the small blind and Lindstrom moved all in.

Mattila tanked for a minute before folding, while Holdeew quickly called for an additional 400,000.

Holdeew needed to crack Lindstrom's aces to stay alive, but he got no help on the K74 flop as Mattila let out a loud expletive. The rest of the board ran out 23 and Holdeew was eliminated.

Andersen Gets Tricky to Bust Tool

Level 18 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

"You can wait for a pay jump. You've already made one," tablemate Jessica Teusl said to big blind Steven Tool as Robin Palm raised to 140,000 in early position. Tobias Andersen called on the button and Tool moved all in for 400,000.

Palm called, but Andersen then potted to 1,040,000 and Palm got out of the way.

Andersen had woken up with two aces and Tool couldn't catch up on the K7673 board as he was sent to the rail.

"You waited for one of us. Tricky, tricky," Teusl said to Andersen after the hand.
