Nodea Takes One From Butuc

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 25,000 ante

Gheorghe Butuc opened from the button, and Andrei Nodea called in the big blind.

"Ace" said Nodea while showing A8. Butuc showed 77 and threw his cards into the muck.

Rajala Doubles Twice Through Butuc

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 25,000 ante

Cristian Rajala had only 220,000 left when he went all in on the button. He was called by the chip leader Gheorghe Butuc, who opened from middle position.

Cristian Rajala: KQ
Gheorghe Butuc: AQ

Rajala hit top pair on K6J52 to secure a double up. But a few hands later, he shoved again from the big blind, this time for 465,000. And once again, he found Butuc on his way.

Cristian Rajala: 99
Gheorghe Butuc: 44

Rajala found a perfect spot again here as he doubled up for the second time on Q7K510.

John Two shoved for 460,000 from the button, then Silviu Baltateanu moved all in too for 490,000 in the small blind.

In the big blind, Cosmin Dima looked at his cards, and went deep into the tank. But he eventually called with the largest stack.

John Two: A9
Silviu Baltateanu: KQ
Cosmin Dima: 1010

The two short stacks were on the edge of elimination after the flop 432. But John Two couldn't dream of a better runout, as he hit trips with the turn 9 and the river 9.

Thanks to this pot, he tripled up while Baltateanu was eliminated. Fuming, Dima jammed a few hands later but split the pot with Vlad Murgulet as they both had AxKx.
