Vasilis Chantzaras, who has something of a fan club here, has just been eliminated after running {9-Diamonds}

into Jakob Eberg's {10-Diamonds}

. He had previously doubled up with {A-Hearts}

against Johnny Lodden's {A-Clubs}

a few hands early, but after Eberg had raised on the button, he pushed with the nines and was doomed after Eberg flopped top set to bust him.

Romanello Running Out of Time

Welshman Roberto Romanello always makes for good entertainment and today has proved no different. His dulcet Welsh tones led me to the table, where I was met with a bet of 20,000 from his neighbour into a {J-Hearts}

board with the decision resting on Romanello.

"You have thirty seconds," announced the tournament director.

"What, when was this decided?" asked Romanello.

"I said before, you weren't listening."

"I'm calling anyway," warned his opponent, "calling for sure."

"Five seconds."

"Hold on," interrupted Romanello. "It hasn't been that long."

"Okay, sir, I'm going to start counting down from 10. When I say one, your hand will be folded."

"Oh, okay then," replied Romanello.

"Ten, nine --"

"One moment," interrupted Romanello. "You're counting very fast."

With all these interruptions, I think Romanello probably got about half an hour to make his decision in the end, which ultimately was a fold.

He could talk the hind legs off a donkey this fella, but with 47,000, time really could be running out for the Welsh rogue.

Bevand Takes One Down

Pace setter Manuel Bevand relenquised the chip lead momentarily, but he's pulled it back. On a {J-Clubs}

board, he raised Alessio Isaia's bet of 25,500 to 70,000, leading to a frustrated fold from Isaia. As a result, Bevand jumped back up to 230,000.

Julian Herold Eliminated

flop and in a battle of the blinds, Julian Herold pushed all in from the small blind with {J-Hearts}

and Andreas Eiler made a brave call in the big blind with {Q-Clubs}

And the German's bravery was rewarded, the {5-Diamonds}

Maceiras Juan'ts to Herold His Victory

Julian Herold raised the button 5,500 against a very vocal Juan Maceiras, who complained that Herold raised his blind every time.

"Do you want me to call? If I call I'm going to put you on tilt again!"

Maceiras made the call, but both checked the {Q-Diamonds}

flop.

"Ooooh, you checked behind, I was sure you would bet!" continued Maceiras.

Maceiras then quieted down as he bet 7,500 on the {4-Hearts}

turn, which Herold called. On the {4-Clubs}

river, Maceiras bet 15,000 before getting very vocal once more.

"Ace high is no good, I have pocket sixes..."

The chatter induced the call and Maceiras flipped {Q-Hearts}
