Numbers Announced

Total entries today, as witnessed by the official clock in the tournament area, number 208. Of those, 199 are still in the running at this time.

A Little Warmer Now

Freddy Deeb's complaints of being cold must have resonated with someone. He can now be seen wearing a black track jacket over his previous attire in order to warm up a bit. Maybe his cards will heat up as well.

Ruthenberg Fills Up

With all five community cards being laid out and the remainder of the deck spread across the felt in front of the dealer, Sebastian Ruthenberg bet out 3,200. The board was {9-Hearts} {9-Spades} {7-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {10-Spades}. His opponent took a couple minutes before making the call, but would be disappointed when he found out what Ruthenberg held.

Ruthenberg tabled {10-Hearts} {9-Clubs} for a full house and scooped in the pot. He now has 28,400 chips.

Hougaard Slipping

Jesper Hougaard check-called a bet of 1,500 from his opponent on a flop of {8-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {3-Spades}. The turn brought the {A-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river brought the {4-Clubs} and Hougaard checked first. His opponent fired out 2,500, which sent Hougaard into the tank. He studied the hand and his opponent for a few moments. He even placed 2,500 chips in his left hand as if he was going to make the call.

Eventually though, Hougaard mucked his hand, giving his opponent the pot. The player flashed only the {A-Hearts}. Hougaard dropped to 9,500 chips after the hand.

Tough Table

An interesting grouping has formed, as the table already featuring Dominik Nitsche and EPT San Remo William Reynolds now also boasts Pierre Neuville.

How their respective stacks look:

Neuville 58,000
Nitsche 52,000
Reynolds 23,100

De Wolfe Makes De Mistake?

The button raised to 450 and the small blind called before Roland de Wolfe reraised making it 15,000 (not a typo) to play. The button threw in 1,050 thinking it was a much smaller raise and ended up folding when he discovered. The small blind also folded.

Whether it was an accidental overraise or not, De Wolfe managed to pick up about 2,000 in chips without seeing a flop.

Champion Number 2 Spotted

Not only does today's field boast last year's EPT Barcelona champion Sebastian Ruthenberg, but we are also today in possession of 2007 winner Sander Lyloff, sharing a table with Tony Cascarino and currently sitting on a respectable 32,000.

Luca Gives Up

Luca Pagano bet 1,100 on a {8-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {2-Hearts} flop and got just one caller in the small blind. The latter fired out 1,200 on the {6-Spades} turn and then 2,200 on the {3-Spades} river. Pagano folding to this final bet.

Jorn Again

Jorn Walthaus on the button and an opponent in the hijack saw a {5-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {J-Spades} flop and we caught up with the action as Walthaus was betting or raising 2,200. The gent in the hijack made it 5,200, and Walthaus called.

Come the {Q-Spades} turn, Mr. Hijack bet out 6,500, and Walthaus flat-called. They found themselves looking at the {A-Clubs} on the river, and now Mr. Hijack checked. Walthaus thought about it for a moment before announcing all in -- and a quick fold later, the pot was his.

Walthaus back up to 42,000.
