Chartier Back in the Black

Sam Chartier had a shorter-stacked opponent all in preflop. Chartier had the {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} versus his opponent's {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, but after the board ran out {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, Chartier had made a full house to send the player to the rail.

Chartier's now up over the starting stack and sitting on 34,000 chips.

Kollmann Climbing

The flop was {Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} between one player and Erich Kollmann. Marcel Luske has been watching from right behind Kollmann and was also here to view his friend chip up nicely in this hand. After the player checked, Kollmann fired 4,200. His opponent check-raised to 14,200. Kollmann made the call.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and the player fired 10,000. Kollmann moved all in for 20,100 and his opponent almost immediately flung his hand into the muck.

That pot put a smile on both Kollmann and Luske's faces while Kollmann moved up to 64,000.

Mattern Loses Some, Still Doing Well

On a flop of {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{2-Spades}, one player checked to Vicky Coren. She fired 2,500 and one player called before action moved to Arnaud Mattern on the button. He reraised to 6,125. The first player folded and then Coren followed suit. The next player called though.

The turn brought the {A-Clubs} and both remaining players checked. The river was the {8-Spades} and both players checked again.

Arnaud's opponent tabled the {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and Mattern mucked, flashing the {Q-Spades}. He's still got a stack of 65,000 though and doing well.

Albertini Flying American Airlines

Stephane Albertini, who made the final table in Deauville a few weeks ago, is building a big stack early here in Berlin. He didn't have to work to hard to get all the chips in the middle when his pocket aces met the good fortune of a tablemate with kings. The board was king-free, and Albertini doubled to around 62,000.
