Day 3 Bites the Dust; 24 Players Remain

All roads lead to Romanello
All roads lead to Romanello
After a slow start to the day - we were well into the third level of play by the time the bubble burst - a surge of sudden craziness means that we have reached our goal of 24 players well before our usual bedtime.

Those who made it as far as the money but not as far as Day 4 included Team PokerStars Pro ElkY, last night's chip leader Csaba Toth and Amsterdam Master Classics winner Kristoffer "Sumpas" Thorsson.

A quick scan of the remaining tables before press were ejected indicated that usually cheerful Welshman Roberto Romanello, today rather muted by a bout of food poisoning, had regained the lead by the end of the night. A number of very dangerous forces spent the latter part of today accumulating chips, though - among their number are Andrew Teng, Team PokerStars Pro Peter Eastgate, young American Ricky Fohrenbach and EPT Vilamoura final tablist Andrei Vlasenko.

A redraw will magically take place overnight, and players will be sitting themselves down at the last three tables at 2pm CET tomorrow to play right down to an eight-handed final table. Be sure to join us back here then for all the action, direct from the floor.
