After-Dinner Coma?

After a rocket-fast first seven levels, play has hit a wall during the last hour. The level is just about through, and we've only lost three players in the last hour. Here's hoping the players head to the bar for caffeine or some other form of liquid lubrication during the upcoming break.

Langmann Doubles

Florian Langmann
Florian Langmann
Stephen Van Zadeloff made it 2,300 to go preflop and Florian Langmann, Jeff Sarwer, and a player in the small blind made the call.

Flop: {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

It checked around to Sarwer who bet 7,000. The small blind folded, as did Van Zadelhoff. Langmann moved all-in for 19,000 and Sarwer made the call.

Langmann: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Sarwer: {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The turn and river brought the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} respectively and Langmann found a double up.

Smith in Dyer Circumstances

Paul Berende opened the pot to 2,500 from early position, and Justin "BoostedJ" Smith put in the call two seats down. Action came to Greg Dyer, and he moved all in for 21,700. Berende mulled it over and folded, but Smith quickly matched the bet to put Dyer at risk.

Showdown
Smith: {8-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}
Dyer: {A-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}

There was an ace on the flop, and the board of {A-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} secured Dyer's double up, essentially trading stacks with Smith.

It's now BoostedJ on the short stack with just about 22,000 to his name.

Double Feature

Now that the Main Event is done for the night, they've moved one of our tables up to the TV table on stage. Up there under the bright lights is the group featuring Mike "Timex" McDonald, Gus Hansen, and Team PokerStars Pro Leo Fernandez. We're a bit hard pressed to get any details of the action from up there, but not to worry.

You can watch the featured table right now on EPT Live. Just click here, easy as that.

Tobias Yields

Tobias Reinkemeier opened the pot to 2,500 from middle position, and he found calling action from an unknown player on the button.

The flop came out {J-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {10-Clubs}, and Reinkemeier gave up the betting lead with a check. His opponent fired out a big overbet of 11,000, and Reinkemeier came right along with the call. The river {2-Diamonds} drew checks from both players, and the {8-Hearts} filled out the board. When Reinkemeier checked a third time, his opponent moved all in for about 45,000. Reinkemeier quickly folded his cards, and the pot goes to Mr. Unknown.
