Vladimir Geshkenbein has removed the toy money from his chip stack since coming back from dinner, maybe to make more room for chips he plans to pick up in the next few levels.
Geshkenbein opened up the betting with a raise to 22,000, the next two players folded and Vandersmissen, as did Morten Mortensen in the small blind. The flop came down , Mortensen checked as did Geshkenbein but Vandersmissen spoiled the party by betting 39,000, a bet that only Geshkenbein called.
The dealer burned a card and put the out on the turn. Geshkenbein checked then called Vandersmissen's 133,000 bet. Now on the river the made an appearance and both players checked.
Russell Carson, who finished 2nd to Allan Baekke at last year's Snowfest EPT, has just been eliminated. He moved all-in with and found Janar Kiivramees pushing all-in behind him with
"3 outs or go home then," stated Carson who looked on disappointedly as the dealer never really gave him a chance with the board.
The decision has been made to take a 90-minute dinner break so it would be rude not to take advantage of the excellent buffet on offer here at the Alpine Palace
Italian Giacomo Maisto is the new chip leader after winning a massive pot from Domantas Klimciauskas.
Being at the opposite end of the room didn't help in my quest to piece together what happened but I did manage to get there just in time to see Maisto had tabled and the board read , which was obviously the best hand as he was busy stacking a huge pile of chips.
His new structure now contains more than 1,300,000
Martins Adenyia is closing on the chip leaders by continually picking up pots and is now on 775,000.
In his latest hand he checked the flop and then called when Andreas Wiese bet 38,000. The turn saw the come into play and instead of checking Adeniya bet 67,000, which happened to be enough to force a fold from Wiese.
Hans Erlandsson has doubled up to 370,000 after coolering Wim Bos. All the chips went in on the turn of a board, Bos had flopped the straight with but Erlandsson turned over for an even better one.
The river changed nothing and Bos, who had been one of the chip leaders for much of tournament dropped down to just 200,000.
