Samuli Spiila made a raise from early position, making it 1,025 to play, and the aggressive Anthony Hnatow three-bet to 2,325 from middle position. Spiila counted out a four-bet and plonked 5,250 over the line.

The look on Hnatow's face said it all - he was at it! Hnatow turned over and Spiila turned over . The dealer gave us the board and it was not good reading for Spiila. .

We were alerted to Table 23 by the dealer requesting time from the floorstaff. The tournament director arrived to find the board reading and Ilkin Amirov facing a bet of 15,500 from Thor Drexel.
The count started and just as the tournament director reached "two" he apprehensively made the call. Any fears of him not having the best hand were soon dismissed because Drexel instantly mucked.
Amirov turned over to win the pot and is now up to 95,000 whilst Drexel only has 2,625 of his start stack left.
Martins Adeniya is looking to continue his successful EPT Season. He defended from the big blind when Martin El-Kher raised to 1,000 from the hijack. The flop fell and Adeniya led for 1,200. Call. The turn came and Adeniya flicked in three 1k chips. That was enough to get his opponent off the hand.
On the next table along Allan Baekke, who's been on a sort of maternity leave from the EPT since this event last season, is going along very well. He was out-kicked in a hand by Stefan Hoing but the river came to save him. The board read and Baekke had bets called on the flop and the river, with the turn being checked. Baekke opened and chopped with Hoing who opened .
Danny Neess continues to improve over at Table 21 and here he is stripping Svein Aril Olsen of most of his chips.
Olsen raised to 800 from the hijack seat and the player in the cutoff called, as did Neess in the big blind. The threesome shared a flop of and Olsen made a 1,600 c-bet when checked to. The cutoff folded and after asking for a quick count, Neess made the call. The turn card was the and Neess piled the pressure on the short stacked Olsen with a bet of 3,100. Olsen, who looked very nervous, made the call and we were down to the final card. The dealer decided that the would make a fitting river card and Neess liked it because he bet 8,900 and Olsen made the call.
Neess turned over for the flush and Olsen showed for the straight.
Giulio Mascolo tried to open to 700 but was quickly informed that the minimum he could make it was 800. He apologised and made it 800 to play. To his direct left Vladimir Gorelov, who is sporting a PokerStars scarf fresh from the VIP Store, three-bet to 2,175 which saw the action fold back to Mascolo. He paused for a few moments under the watchful eye of Gorelov before mucking his hand.
Maybe the 'Stars scarf gifted Gorelov extra respect?
Steve O'Dwyer is happily chatting away at his table, and why not? The EPT London runner-up has amassed a 128,000 stack, well clear of the field.
Jonas Klausen is back in profit. He was up against Patrick Renkers and bet 1,200 on a flop when the action was checked to him. Renkers called before both players checked the turn. The river was and the Dutchman check-called a 3,100. Klausen opened and took the pot as Renkers folded.
Melanie Weisner is up to around 65,000 chips after a clash with Bjarke Hansen saw her scoop a pot of almost 15,000 chips.
It was Weisner who opened to 800 from the button, a min-raise, and Bjarke Hansen made the call from the big blind. The dealer spread out the flop and Hansen check-called an 1,100 bet from his American opponent.
The turn was the and now Hansen lead out with a 1,675 bet and Weisner craned her neck to check the amount, the dealer verbally confirmed it for her and she made the call. The fifth and final community card was the and Hansen increased his bet size to 3,700. Weisner quickly called and the cards were revealed.
