Romanello Bluffs Big Pot

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a flop reading {Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades} Jose Carlos Garcia makes it 650 to play from the big blind, Roberto Romanello called and Jan Molby made it 2,000 to play. Both of Molby's opponents called and it was three-handed to the {2-Spades} turn.

Garcia now checked, Romanello bet 4,500, Molby instantly folded, as did Garcia and Romanello showed {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the bluff.

Poker Girl Ousted

Morten Erlandsen was one of the original Danish high stakes online cash game players. He played (plays) under the handle Pokergirl and was feared throughout Europe.

There is no reason for players to fear him this week as he's just busted.

Neuville Bluffing?

Pierre Neuville's stack in into the black after he won a four way pot. We picked up the action on the {2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop and it was checked to Samuli Spiila who bet 2,150 from the hijack. Two opponents folded but Neuville check-raised up to 5,100. The Finn made a quick call to the {3-Spades} where he gave up when the Belgian Team PokerStars Pro bet 10,000.

"Show the bluff, it's good for the game," shouted Roberto Romanello.

Neauville shrugged and opened {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}.

Amirov Wins a Flip

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

We join the action with a bundle of chips into front of three players: Ilkin Amirov, Mikael Aakechan and Mikhail Korotkikh. Amirov is all-in and the decision to call rests with Aakechan who decides to fold. This leaves Korotkikh who is more than happy to call and we have a showdown with Amirov at risk of elimination.

Amirov{A-Spades} {K-Hearts}
Korotkikh{8-Clubs} {8-Spades}
Board{10-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds}

Amirov moves up to 29,000 and Korotkikh is left with 24,000

Dominik Nitsche Flops a Set and Leaves The Competition

Nitsche Gets Ready For a Visit to Noma
Nitsche Gets Ready For a Visit to Noma

We just saw Dominik Nitsche talking to Melanie Weisner in classic bad beat pose. We wandered over, and as usual, Nitsche was more than happy to tell us his story, so here it is from the boy himself.

There was a raise, before Nitsche flats with {2-} {2-} in position. The player on the button calls as does the player in the small blind. The host of players all see a flop containing more diamonds on it that the crotchless underpants Nitsche was wearing under his trendy skinny jeans - {8-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}. The action checks to Nitsche, but before he can bet, the player on the button pots it out of turn. Nitsche checks, the bet stands, the small blind folds, the original raiser checks and Nitsche bets 7,000 (leaving himself 10,000 behind). The player on the button folds, the original raiser moves all-in and Nitsche calls. Nitsche turns over his bottom set and the original raiser shows {A-Diamonds} {Q-}. Nitsche then informs us that the board ran out runner-runner straight for his opponent who sighed in disgust because he didn't even know he had won until Nitsche told him.

Iversen on a Tear

The second session of poker is going a lot better than the first for Albert Iversen. He just found aces and won the pot to help his stack rise to 42,000.

The action was four-way to {9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop and Iversen's 2,500 bet was only check-called by Joni Jouhkimainen. They were the last chips to enter the pot as both players checked through the {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts} turn and river.

When Iversen checked behind on the river he said, "So weak" and opened {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Jouhkimainen mucked.

Whilst this hand was unfolding one of the floor men handed me Frank Wesemann's ID. That means he's out.

Romanello Loses Out To Vidrobrigsvor Again

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Dag Vidorbrigsvor checked to Roberto Romanello on a flop reading {4-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and the Welsman tested the waters with a bet of 1,175. Vidrobrigsvor then sprung into life and check-raised to 3,300 and Romanello called.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Vidorbrigsvor asked "how much you have left," and Romanello moved his hands to allow his opponent to see his stack, which contains 11,200 by the way, and when he had counted the Welshman's stack he moved all. Romanello shook his head before letting his hand go. He then rocked back on his chair and put his new blue Dr Dre headphones back on. Hopefully they'll being him some better luck and soon.

Nitsche Nicks One

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Helge Stjernevang got the betting underway with a raise to 550 from late position. Dominik Nitsche peeled back his cards, placed them back face down and made the call. Thomas Blomberg made the call in the big blind and it was three-handed to the {7-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop.

Blomberg lead out into his opponents with a bet of 1,500, which was enough to force a fold from Stjernevang but Nitsche came along for the ride. The turn brought the {J-Spades} into play and Blomberg checked its arrival. Nitsche puts a bright blue 5,000 chip forward and verbally announces "3,200" and Blomberg quickly folds.
