There was a raise from early position to 500 and Ashley Mason three-bet to 1,425 in mid position. Andrey Zaichenko called in the big blind as did the original raiser. The first three cards to grace the felt were and Zaichenko check-called a 2,250 Mason bet. The turn was the and both players checked before the final card was displayed. Zaichenko checked to Mason who bet 15,000 into a pot of just under 10,000 and Zaichenko made the call.
Mason flipped over a pair of red kings and Zaichenko tapped the table and ditched his hand.
Omar Adel opened to 500 from UTG and the long-haired Oscar Kroon made the call. Two players folded and John Eames called, the action folded to David Kristiansen in the big blind and he put in the necessary chips to call.
Flop: - Kristiansen checked, Adel checked, Kroon bet 850 and only Eames called.
Turn: - Kroon checked, Eames tried to verbally announce his bet but the tournament director was announcing the level up and he could not be heard. At the end of the announcement Eames said his bet was 3,800 and Kroon instantly folded.
Richard Loth opened to 525 from late position and to his direct left, in the hijack, Jude Ainsworth three-bet to 1,350. The action then folded around to Andreas Piesik in the small blind and he called. Loth called and it was three-handed to the flop.
Piesik checked, Loth checked, Ainsworth bet 1,800 and only Piesik made the call. The turn saw the make an appearance and both players checked. The action was the same when the landed on the river.
Piesik turned over and Ainsworth mucked, saying he held a nine.
From the cutoff Alexander Manson made it 500 then called when Johnny Lodden three-bet from the button to 1,350. The flop came down and Manson checked to Lodden who bet 1,250, more then enough to get the job done because Manson folded.
Frederik Jensen didn't get on too well in a hand versus the chatty Icelandic Runar Runarsson.
He opened from under the gun and bet a flop. Runarsson called both time and check-called when the Dane bet 2,625 on the turn. The river fell and Runarsson checked again. Before Jensen made any move his opponent said, "It's hard to bet ace-king now, isn't it?"
He might well have been right as Jensen checked behind and mucked when shown for a turned pair.
"Sorry for everything, I'm so bad. I can't fold a gutshot," said Runarsson.
Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden is up to 36,200 chips after taking down a large pot in a hand with Safwan Al-Farhan of the United Arab Emirates.
Al-Farhan opened the betting to 600 from under the gun and it looked like he was only going to pick up the blinds but at the last moment Lodden, on the button, three-bet to 1,700. Both blinds folded but Al-Farhan made the call.
The dealer put out the flop and Al-Farhan lead into Lodden with a 2,100 bet. Lodden called and it was off to the flop we went. Al-Farhan sat riffling a pile of green chips before he stopped, picked up 4,500 worth of chips and bet them. Lodden wasted little time in making the call.
The river was the and Al-Farhan bet once again, setting the price at 5,500, leaving himself around 21,000 behind. Lodden sprung into action and raised to 15,500 leaving himself just 13,500 to play with. Al-Farhan sighed and did not look happy. He checked his cards again and they had not turned into a pair of aces or jacks and he reluctantly mucked his hand.
The action folded to Nick Bogaert in middle position and he passed but as he did he exposed the to the rest of the table. Next to him is Mick Graydon and he raised to 500. One player folded but both Svein Skovli (hijack) and Sylvain Naets (big blind) made the call.
Flop: - Naets checked, Graydon continued with a bet of 800 and both opponents called.
Turn: - Naets checked again, Graydon kept his foot firmly on the gas and made it 2,200 to play. Skovli called but Naets winched, rubbed his eyes and gave his card back to the dealer, presumably bothered by the fact he had invested 1,300 chips and had nothing to show for them.
River: - Graydon sat motionless for a few moments before tapping the table and checking. Skovli checked behind and the hands were revealed.
Skovli:
Graydon:
Skolvi wins and moves up to 34,100 whilst Graydon drops to 25,300 but at least he still has his dog card protector.
