Bjerkmann Stares Down Adel

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

We joined the action on a board reading {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{K-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} it appeared Omar Adel had checked in the small blind and was facing a bet of 8,350 from the hyper-aggressive Marcel Bjerkmann, who was trying his best to burn a hole through the side of his opponent's head with his stare!

He stared at him intensely for over three minutes before averting his gaze for a moment to signal to the dealer he wanted to call time on his opponent. As it happened a floorman was stood behind the dealer and informed Adel he had 60-second in which to act.

Adel did not need the the full time allocated and he sent his cards back to the dealer.

To Be Bluffed or Not To Be Bluffed

Luca Pagano
Luca Pagano

Govert Metaal and Luca Pagano both had opponents trying to bluff them but only one was actually bluffed.

That one was Metaal. He bet 2,800 on a the turn of a {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} board and was check-raised up to 7,000 by Sigurd Terpling. The Dutch business man tank-folded only to be shown {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Moments later, two tables along, Pagano check-called a 3,100 bet from Grzegorz Cichocki
on the turn of a {4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs} board. The river fell {3-Spades} and both players checked. Cichocki opened {a-Spades}{j-Spades}, losing out to Pagano's {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

Another Pot For Theo

Theo Jorgensen
Theo Jorgensen

The action folded around to Sebastian Rust in the small blind and he made up the loose change. Theo Jorgensen was seated in the big blind and he raised it up to 1,200 and Rust made the call.

Flop: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {5-Spades}

Rust checked to Jorgensen who bet 1,500 and then he check-raised to 3,000. Jorgensen made the call and the {A-Clubs} was laid down on the turn. Both players checked the turn and the river of the {2-Spades} was also checked by Rust - who seemed eager to get to showdown. Jorgensen had other ideas and he made a bet of 5,000 and Rust paid him off.

Vandersmissen Goes Missing

Kevin Vandersmissen has just been eliminated from the EPT Copenhagen Main Event after a clash with Costin Fucea.

The betting was opened by Rasmus Dahl Sibast who min-raised to 1,000 and Costin Fucea called to his immediate left. The action then folded to Vandersmissen in the big blind and he raised to 3,500, which folded out Sibast but Fucea moved all in. Vandermissen called off his last 13,000 chips and the cards were revealed.

Fucea: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Vandersmissen: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

Vandermissen had already started to stand up as the dealer put out the {9-Hearts}{K-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop. The turn and river were the {5-Spades} and {6-Hearts} respectively and with that Vandersmissen was eliminated.
