More Chips for O'Dwyer

We caught some interesting preflop action at one of the three remaining tables in the tournament. Scott Seiver raised to 24,000 in the cutoff and Steve O'Dwyer re-raised to 63,000 on the button.

Tobias Reinkemeier thought it would be a good chance to steal the early bets and fired 140,000. Seiver folded, but O'Dwyer wasn't willing to give up easily and announced an "all-in". Reinkemeier wasn't ready to risk it just yet and folded.

Ravnsbaek Four-Flushed Down the Drain; Kagawa Gone

Simon Ravnsbaek on Day 1
Simon Ravnsbaek on Day 1

We saw an open seat over at the feature table and inquired as to what happened. According to the announcer, Simon Ravnsbaek and Dan Smith, both of who held big stacks, got it in with the same hand--{A-}{K-}.

Well, as we've said before, Smith has been running well all day, and this hand would be no different. You see, Smith held the {A-Spades} and the board ran out with four spades of its own, giving him a flush and the massive pot. On the flip side, Ravnsbaek was eliminated in a gut-wrenching hand.

Meanwhile, Masa Kagawa was eliminated at the hands of Tobias Reinkemeier over at one of the outer tables.

Bulychev Drowned on the River

At the outer table, a preflop raising war saw Ilya Bulychev, who was the last remaining rebuy player from the start of the day, get his stack of approximately 400,000 all in with {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} against the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} of Mike "Timex" McDonald.

Bulychev was in great shape to double, but the {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop did give McDonald a gut-shot straight draw to go with his outs. The {10-Hearts} turn made it an open-ended straight draw, but it would be the {9-Spades} on the river that would give him trips and send a disappointed Bulychev to the rail.

With that, we're down to 24 players, which means it's time for the three-table redraw.

Litvinov Doubles Through Kelopuro

From under the gun, Sami Kelopuro raised to 20,000. Artem Litvinov reraised all in from the small blind for 168,000 and Kelopuro made the call.

Litvinov held'
the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and was dominating the {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for Kelopuro. The flop, turn and river ran out {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to give Litvinov the double.

Kursevich Firing Into Seiver

On the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, Vadzim Kursevich bet 88,000 and Scott Seiver made the call. The river completed the board with the {J-Spades} and Kursevich fired 157,000. Seiver thought about it and then folded, giving Kursevich the pot.
