Horecki's Kings Fall to Deuces

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Marcin Horecki
Marcin Horecki

We stumbled upon the action with {6-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} already on the board and two players with cards still in their hands, one of them being the Polish Team PokerStars Pro Marcin Horecki in the big blind.

Both players checked and the dealer opened {2-Diamonds} on the turn. Horecki took the initiative and bet 3,000 and the player in the cutoff position made the call.

The river card was {7-Hearts} and Horecki lead again for 2,800. His opponent called and showed {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts} for a set beating Horecki's {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds}.

Folding to Finns

The two Juhas, Helppi and Lauttamus, both have less than their starting stacks but are both going about getting back into it the right way.

Helppi barrelled from the small blind, getting his under the gun opponent off his hand on the turn on a {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board.

Moments later we witnessed Lauttamus check-raise to 1,600 from the big blind after an opponent c-bet on a {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop. It did the tick as a fold was quick in coming.

The Art of Not Folding

With Ernst Christian Stratmeyer already all in on the {6-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, Artem Litvinov checked the {6-Diamonds} turn and Alexander Roumeliotis bet 8,500. The Russian looked pained for several minutes before moving all in and his Swedish opponent instantly called.

Stratmeyer: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Roumeliotis: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Litvinov: {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Litvinov's theatrics paid off and the {9-Hearts} river sent the other two players to the rail. Litvinov declared, "I bubbled the €50k yesterday, I'm going home tomorrow, I'm going to play every hand..."

Ngu Doubles Throught Andrulis

Jessica Ngu from Australia went all-in for around 6,700 from under the gun and found a customer in 2010 EPT Tallinn €10,000 High Roller champion Kristijonas Andrulis from Lithuania.

Ngu opened {5-Hearts} {5-Spades} and Andrulis showed {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds}.

The flop went {5-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} giving Ngu a set along with a huge relief. The {J-Diamonds} on the turn and {8-Spades} on the river made no changes and Ngu doubled up.

Rist Pain

In a three-way pot, it was checked to Risto Antero Ailamo who bet 3,600 on the river of a {5-Spades}{A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{K-Spades} board, the big blind folded but Martin Jacobson check-raised to 12,300.

Ailamo didn't take too long to make the call but Jacobson showed {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} for a rivered full house to beat Ailamo's smaller flopped full house holding of {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.
