In the last hand before the break, a raising war broke out between Dan Shak, who was on the button, and Eddy Sabat, who was in the big blind, that saw the former all in for around 25,000.

"I'm never folding there," Shak said. The

Michael Mizrachi must like the limelight. He joined the TV table, that now includes PokerStars' Fatima Moreira de Melo and Jude Ainsworth, with a little over 2,000 chips and managed to double twice to 8,425.

Since July, Jesse Sylvia has been carrying the World Series of Poker Main Event chip lead as a part of this year's October Nine. Traditionally, many of the WSOP finalist have traveled to play the European circuit in the off months, and this year's chip leader is no exception.
Sylvia is in today's field and looking to keep his skills sharp until October. At the same time, he's looking to capture an EPT title and make his name known on both sides of the Atlantic.
We recently watched Sylvia for an entire orbit prior to the last break.
Hand #1: Sylvia was under the gun plus one and simply folded.
Hand #2: Sylvia was under the gun and repeated the action from Hand #1.
Hand #3: Sylvia was in the big blind, but opted to fold after the hijack had raised to 500 and the cutoff three-bet to 1,225.
Hand #4: After Elisar Serbu raised to 500, Sylvia called from the small blind and it was heads-up action to the

flop. Sylvia took the initiative and led out for 750, Serbu called, and then both players checked the
turn and
river. Sylvia tabled
, but it was no good against Serbu's
.
Hand #5: Action folded to Sylvia on the button and he folded his hand.
Hand #6: A player in middle position raised to 450 and Sylvia folded from the cutoff.
Hand #7: Action folded to Sylvia in the hijack and he raised to 500, which Riccardo Marchini called from the small blind. Both players proceeded to check the

flop and
turn. When the
peeled off on the river, Marchini led out for 1,000, Sylvia raised to 3,600, Marchini made it 10,000 to go, and Sylvia moved all in. Marchini called with
for the nut straight, and Sylvia showed
for the same hand. Chop it up.
Hand #8: Sylvia folded after another player raised to 500.
Hand #9: Sylvia folded and went on break.
For more on Sylvia, check out Sarah Grant's interview with the chip leader after he made the October Nine.
Fresh off his €215,100 5th place finish in the €50,000 Super High Roller, Mike "Timex" McDonald is looking good in the Main Event as well. He opened for 600 in the early position and Frenchman Sebastien Clot three-bet to 2,600 on the button. Action folded back to McDonald and he made the call.
The board ran
and both players checked. McDonald bet 2,025 on the
turn and Clot called. The
on the river was followed by another 6,525 bet from Timex putting Clot in a tough spot. The Frenchman struggled for two minutes or so and then finally mucked his hand.

Ivan Demidov won a pot against Konstantinos Nanos but seemed very confused by the line the Greek took.
The flop was out as

and Nanos check-called a 900 bet before leading for 450 and 500 on the
turn and river.
The Russian Team PokerStars Pro took over a minute to call on the turn and said he'd just call on the river.
Nanos smiled and opened
for ace-high. Demidov tabled
and took the pot.

The board was reading

and Aleksandar Kacuric had put out a bet of 2,100 on the river but was very displeased when Jonas Becker slid out a raise to 10,200 against him.
Kacuric was irked but made the call and Becker quickly flipped
for the nuts, Kacuric showed
for the third nuts and dropped to about 32,000 while Becker moved up to 41,000.
