Selbst Eliminated

Vanessa Selbst has been eliminated
Vanessa Selbst has been eliminated

Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst fired 80,000 on the {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop into opponent Andrew Chen. Chen made the call and the turn brought the {8-Diamonds}. Selbst fired again for 150,000. Chen called.

The river was the {7-Diamonds} bringing in a backdoor flush. Selbst moved all in for what looked like 280,000. Chen snap-called and showed the nut flush, although his exact holding was unknown. After her exit, Selbst was overheard mentioning she had flopped a set, but we'll have to wait until the hand airs on TV to see if that's true or not.

Korik Kicked Out By Kamutzki

Zachary Koric's tournament had been brought to an earlier than expected finish after a cruel, cruel hand.

Heinz Katumzki open-limped from the button, Korik put in the extra chips from the small blind and Ilya Gorodetskiy checked in the big blind. The dealer put the {5-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop onto the felt and the blinds checked to Kamutzki how bet 12,000. Only Korik called and it was heads-up to the {3-Clubs} turn. Korik initially checked, Kamutzki bet again, making it 32,000 to play only to see Korik check-raise to 72,000. Kamutzki asked to see all of Korik's stack and when he saw it he moved all in and was snapped off.

Korik: {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Kamutzki: {A-Hearts}{3-Spades}

Korik had flopped a straight but Kamutzki still had outs. One of those outs landed on the turn, the {A-Diamonds} and the entire table was stunned. Kamutzki looked embarrassed, the rest of the table didn't know where to look, a few "wow's" were said and the dealer got busy counting out the stacks.

To rub even more salt into an already sore wound, Kamutzki only covered Korik by a solitary red 1,000 chips, the smallest denomination in play.

With that Kamutzki climbs to 545,000 whilst his now busted American opponent heads to the cashier's cage.

Back-to-Back Dream Over for De Visscher

Koen De Visscher's dreams of back-to-back EPT final tables is over.

He opened to 16,000 from early position and was called by Cengiz Ulusu on the button before Vladimir Geshkenbein three-bet to 50,000 from the big blind. De Visscher responded by moving all-in for 260,000 and Geshkenbein called after Ulusu folded (deuces, he later said).

Geshkenbein: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
De Visscher: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The board ran {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

De Visscher headed off and Geshkenbein went about enjoying rubbing salt into Ulusu results orientated regretful wounds.

[Removed:287] Takes Down Pot With An Unlikely Hand

[Removed:284] has just picked up a nice little pot after making a call from the big blind with the monster that is {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

Philipp Gruissem opened to 16,000 from under the gun and the action folded to Jan Heitmann in the hijack. he peeled back his cards, took a peak and made the call. The action then found its way to [Removed:287] in the big blind and he put in the extra 8,000 chips.

Flop: {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} - The draw heavy board was checked by all three players.

Turn: {5-Clubs} - [Removed:287] checked with what can be described a s a karate chop action, and both of his opponents checked behind.

River: {4-Hearts} - Guess what they did here? That's correct. They all checked.

Gruissem turned over {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, [Removed:287] {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Heitmann mucked. [Removed:287] took down the pot with his pair of five, nine-kicker.
