Italian player Dario Alioto just doubled up through Germany's Manig Loeser. Alioto shoved for 50,000 holding the

and Alioto's kings held up, not only saving his tournament life, but giving him a healthy stack to play with.
We saw that Eugene Katchalov was missing and asked Sam Grafton what happened. According to him, Katchalov opened for 2,000 and was met with a three-bet to 5,500 by Charly Maracchione. Katchalov responded by moving all in for 52,000 and Maracchione made the call.

Katchalov was ahead but a king on the flop changed all that. The rest of the board blanked and Katchalov was sent packing at the tail end of Level 10.
On a flop of 
, Pius Heinz led for 5,700 from the small blind. It folded to Eric Goudriaan who made it 11,400 from under the gun. Another player got out of the way and Jonathan Miles Beck three-bet all in for 38,700. It folded back to Heinz and he moved all in over the top for 88,000 total.

Heinz's straight was way out in the lead and stayed that way through the turn and the river. Heinz is now sitting on about 145,000 in chips.
Action folded to Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov in the small blind, and he was quick to complete the bet with Sam Grafton to his left in the big blind. Grafton checked to see the 
flop roll out. Katchalov bet 1,200, and Grafton called.
On the turn, the 
was added to the board. Katchalov kept on the gas with a bet of 2,600. Grafton went nowhere and made the call.
The 
landed on the river to complete the board. With 23,900 left in his stack, Katchalov fired 5,200 of it. Grafton raised to put him all in, and Katchlov snap-called.
Grafton showed the 
for a straight, but Katchalov's 
was good for a higher straight and he won the pot to double his stack.

"Already down to 75K. Lost a decent pot first and then Shaun Deep calls my 4 bet to 25K after his cold 3 bet to 12K. Im holding AKs. Flop is 3c, 10d, Jd. We both check. Turn is a 4h and I call a 21K bet. River is a 2c and we both check. He wins it with A10off."
Life got better a little later though:

Called a raise pre with 77. 3 players saw the 3,7,10 rainbow. Initial raiser opens for 3600. Mp calls. I raise till 9K. IR makes it 28. MP calls all in for his last 26K!!!! Pretty strong move and went from feeling I had the nuts to feeling I might have the second best hand. Doesnt mean that Im folding. Decided only to call. Dont think it would have made a difference. IR obviously had an overpair and chances is he would have folded. Turn is a 7 which is a pretty decent card for me and it might come as a surprise but felt like I had the nuts again. We both checked for the side pot and the IR check folded to my 30K bet on the river. The MP had 10,10 and because of that 1 outer Im in 145K."
Roger Hairabedian opened for 2,000 under the gun and received a call from Amerigo Santoro. Flavius Puica then called off his last 800, and Dan O'Brien moved all in from the button for 20,000. Hairabedian folded, but Santoro made the call.

The board ran out 
and Puica more than tripled by spiking a ten on the river; however, the real meat was in the side pot, which went to O'Brien.

Attilio Donato went all in and was called by Jesper Hougaard. Donato showed the 
, which with three more spades on the board made a flush while Hougaard showed held jacks. Donato doubled up leaving Hougaard crippled to just four purple 500 chips.
On the very next hand at the same table, Team PokerStars Pro Pius Heinz raised to 2,300 in the middle position and was called by Dimitar Danchev and Michele Gaudiano.
The flop went 
, and Heinz made a continuation bet of 3,500. Danchev made the call, and Gaudiano folded. Both remaining players checked the on the turn as well as on the river, and Heinz opened for a pair of fours while Danchev mucked his hand.
