Longobardi Doubles Through Bonomo

We caught up to find Alessandro Longobardi put all of his stack in the middle for about 44,500 more on top of a raise by Justin Bonomo. Bonomo called to find that he was quite behind.

Longobardi: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Bonomo: {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Bonomo was forced to ship chips over to Longobardi. Bonomo has fallen to about 235,000 while Longobardi is sitting around 115,000.

Choraria is Also Out

"Now we play!" one of the remaining players said just after the money bubble burst and play had resumed. All-ins and calls started coming from tables all around the room and players started busting out and going straight to the cashout windows. One of such players was Kamal Choraria who shoved for around 160,000 after Ben Vinson bet 26,000 before the flop.

Vinson called and flipped {A-Spades} {K-Spades}. Choraria showed {J-Hearts} {J-Spades}, but was immediately crushed when the dealer opened {Kd } {4-Clubs} {9-Hearts} on the flop pairing Vinson's king. The {6-Hearts} on the turn and {7-Spades} on the river didn't help Choraria and he left the table.

Brammer and Gaudiano Fall

Christopher Brammer
Christopher Brammer

There will be no major back to back major final tables for Chris Brammer. Another cash is not to be sniffed at though. He shoved his last eight big blinds with ace-five from under the gun and was called by Adrian Veghinas with pocket jacks. The jacks held up.

Moments later, on a nearby table, the action folded around to Michele Gaudiano in the small blind and he shoved for his last ten big blinds. Erion Islamay was in the big blind and made the call.

Gaudiano: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Islamay: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

The board ran {3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades} to make Islamay a set on the turn.

Watson Puts an End to Boeree's Run at Another EPT Sanremo Title

Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Liv Boeree's run at another EPT Sanremo title has come to an end.

In what would be her last hand, Mike Watson opened for 10,000 from the cutoff and the small blind called. Boeree then shipped all in from the big for 92,000, Watson moved all in over the top, and the small blind folded.

Showdown
Watson: {7-}{7-}
Boeree: {A-}{J-}

It was a flip, but one that Boeree would not win as the board ran out dry and Watson's seven held up.

The Bubble Hath Burst!

Renaud Desferet was the first player to act before the flop and he shipped all in for 72,000. Tom Alner called from the next seat over and it folded around to Michael Benvenuti who moved all in over the top.

Alner was contemplating for his tournament life and ultimately decided to release his cards. The hands were then turned over to find Desferet in trouble.

Desferet: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Benvenuti: {A-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The flop brought good tidings for Desferet, as it came ten-high with {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. The {5-Hearts} rolled off on the turn and Desferet would need to dodge a king on the river to double up. The dealer pounded the table and produced the river.

The {K-Diamonds}!

The players and media members gathered around the table all let out a gasp as the bubble burst. Everyone still in the tournament is guaranteed a payday of at least €8,000.

Aces Again for the Third All In Player

The third all in and call saw another player find aces!

The action folded around to the deep-stacked Alex Roumeliotis and he moved all in blind to put pressure on the short-stacked Chris Brammer and Samuel Panzica in the blinds. Brammer folded but Panzica called all in for 79,500.

The room erupted in laughter when the players' cards were announced:

Roumeliotis; {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Panzica: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

The board ran {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} to make Panzica a full house. What a sweat he had on the turn though!
