Ladouceur "Shows" One

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Facing a three-bet of 4,200 from Mark Teltscher, Marc-Andre Ladouceur four-bet to 8,000. The action folded back to Teltscher, who tank-called.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, both players checked, and the turn was the {9-Hearts}. Teltscher checked again, and Ladouceur fired 8,600. Teltscher tanked for a very long time, then folded.

"You fold kings?" we thought we heard Ladouceur say, but he may have said "ace-king."

Teltscher nodded.

"Can I see one?" he asked Ladouceur as his cards were headed into the muck.

Ladouceur nodded his head, and Teltscher reached into the muck and picked out a {q-Spades}.

"Good pick!" Mike McDonald said excitedly. "Marc didn't want you to pick the four of spades."

There was then a discussion as to whether or not the {q-Spades} was actually in Ladouceur's hand or it was just some random card in the muck.

"How good does this guy run?" McDonald continued. "He lets the guy pick one and it might not even be his card."

Jensen Jams River

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Salman Behbehani opened to 1,500 from under the gun, Frederik Jensen called in the hijack seat, and Kamal Choraria called in the cutoff. The dealer fanned {3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, Behbehani led out for 1,700, and only Jensen called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs}, both players checked, and the {10-Hearts} completed the board. Behbehani fired 4,800, and Jensen moved all in for what looked like 27,000 or so. Behbehani painfully folded, and Jensen picked up the pot.

Two Pots for Toby

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Toby Lewis has recovered from an earlier downward spiral, winning two pots in quick succession. First he fired bets of 1,500 and 3,000 against David Gent on a {6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop and {4-Diamonds} turn to get the latter to fold.

A few hands later he'd called a 1,400 bet from Martin Finger on the turn of a {2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{J-Spades} board. Finger checked the {A-Hearts} river and Lewis carefully bet out 3,900 - Finger folded instantly.

Duhamel Busts and Rebuys

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Jonathan Duhamel was all in on a flop of {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} against Paul Volpe in a three-bet pot.

"I hope you don't have jacks," said Volpe, turning over {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

Duhamel flipped {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for the gutshot straight flush draw.

The {6-Diamonds} on the turn gave the former World Champion some additional outs but the {Q-Diamonds} river wasn't one of those. Duhamel has immediately rebought and is now sitting on Vanessa Selbst's table.

Sternheimer Cracks Hanowski's Aces

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Martin Hanowski
Martin Hanowski

After a series of bets and raises on a {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, Martin Hanowski was all in and at risk for 20,000 or so with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}. His opponent, Philip Sternheimer, was drawing with {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and the {j-Diamonds} on the turn gave him five extra outs to catch up.

The river was the {6-Clubs}, giving Sternheimer a motley two pair, and eliminating Hanowski from the tournament. The German was not happy, and pushed his chips forward a bit aggressively before exiting.
