Shakerchi Doubles Through San Chan

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

We're not entirely sure, but it was a three-way hand before the flop. Mohsin Charania got out cheaply, but the other two were in it for all of their chips.

Shakerchi was allin for 78,000 and had the best hand with {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. San Chan held {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and didn't improve: {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. San Chan still has loads left though, he has about 400,000 left.

More for Schemion

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

We missed the early action, but with 133,500 in the pot and a board reading {4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades}, Ole Schemion bet 91,000 from the big blind and put the pressure on Sorel Mizzi in the hijack. Mizzi thought for about 30 seconds and then released his hand.

Zhou Busts in Spectacular Fashion

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Chun Lei Zhou

Joining the action on the river of a {J-Spades}{A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{10-Spades} board, Philipp Gruissem bet 55,000 against Chun Lei Zhou, the latter having previously called bets on the flop and turn.

Zhou had been thinking for a minute before he moved all in for about 240,000 and Gruissem called instantly. Zhou looked sheepish as he turned over {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} having tried to double-float the German. It wouldn't have mattered what he had though, Gruissem tabled {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} for a Royal Flush.

Gruissem turned to Phil Ivey saying, "You said he's a nit!"

"I was joking," replied Ivey.

"Well, I guess that hand will get reported..." said Mike McDonald.

Yes sir, it will indeed.

Mercier Felts Colman

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Talal Shakerchi is getting pretty short on chips and he opened this hand to 6,000 when Jason Mercier raised him to 21,000 from the button. Sitting in the big blind Daniel Colman then made it 64,200 and Shakerchi folded.

Mercier checked how much Colman had and they had pretty similar stack sizes of around 240k. Mercier then five-bet to 64,200. Colman now had a look at Mercier’s stack and moved all in.

Mercier snapped him off and tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} against the {10-Clubs}{10-Clubs} of Colman.

The final board read {q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Colman had slightly fewer chips than Mercier and was felted.

Ung Gives It Up to Schemion

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

With 15,300 in the pot and a flop of {5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}, Ole Schemion checked from the big blind and Senh Ung bet 8,000 from the cutoff. Schemion responded with a check-raise to 23,500, Ung called, and the {8-Hearts} appeared on the turn.

Schemion wasted little time in leading out for 60,000, and it did the trick and Ung folded his hand.
