Ekvardt Busts to Kaverman

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Emil Ekvardt
Emil Ekvardt

Emil Ekvardt raised to 11,000 and Byron Kaverman three-bet to 28,500 from one seat over, focused on a deep massage. Ekvardt gave it some thought and then moved all in with Kaverman immediately signalizing the call and turning over his {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

Ekvardt was at risk with the {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and failed to improve with the board running out {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

Refos Out!

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Just minutes after seeing his aces cracked, Raoul Refos got his short stack all in preflop versus Jason Mercier and Brynn Kenney with a chance to triple up.

Mercier checked the {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop, but when Kenney made it 8,000, he check-raised to 22,000. Kenney folded and Mercier turned over the {7-Spades}{j-Spades} for two pair.

Refos was in trouble with the {k-Spades}{2-Hearts} and his tournament ended following the {9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} turn and river.

Refos Has Aces Cracked; Needs Miracle

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

In a preflop all in, Raoul Refos had David Peters at risk and the way better hand in {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}. Peters could only reveal the {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} but got there on the river of a {3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{J-Clubs} board.

Blaschke Busts to Piotrowski

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Przemyslaw Piotrowski raised and then called the three-bet shove of Manuel Blaschke from one seat over for around 20 big blinds. Blaschke had a massive kicker problem with {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}, as Piotrowski had him dominated with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{K-Hearts} to give the Pole a straight.

Paul Newey also joined the rail at the very same time, failing to improve his second place finish in an EPT High Roller event from last season in Prague.

Haxton Destroys Stack Just before the Break

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Isaac Haxton

In the last hand before the break, which lasted several minutes into the break. The full action is amiss, but Brian Roberts raised to 111,700 and left very few chips behind on the river of a {4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board. PokerStars Team Online member Isaac Haxton called and was shown the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} by Roberts.

Since it was no all in showdown, Haxton could muck his cards and that's exactly that he did, forfeiting the vast majority of his stack to have less than 10 big blinds remaining for the new level.
