Ludovic Geilich Loses a Pot Before Dinner

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

A player raised to 1,400 under the gun before the player in the hijack three-bet to 4,000. Ludovic Geilich was in the small blind and called as the initial raiser folded.

The flop was {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Geilich check-called a bet of 7,000.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and again Geilich checked, and this time called a bet of 12,000 from his opponent. The river was the {5-Diamonds} and both players checked.

Geilich showed {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} but his opponent held {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} and took down the pot. Geilich still has a healthy stack as players head off on their 75-minute dinner break.

Kully Sidhu

Kuljinder Sidhu opened from early position to 1,400 and Thomas Muehloecker three-bet from the button to 3,600. Sidhu called.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Sidhu check-called a bet of 2,900 from Muehloecker. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and again Sidhu check-called a bet from his opponent, this time for 4,700.

The river was the {8-Spades} and Sidhu open-shoved for his remaining chips. Last year's runner-up to Mustapha Kanit had just over 15,000 left in his stack and Muehloecker quickly made the call. Sidhu showed {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} but Muehloecker, who 21st in the same event last year, held {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and took the pot, eliminating Sidhu.

Yaxi Zhu With The Four-bet

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante
Yaxi Zhu
Yaxi Zhu

Team PokerStars China is represented by the lovely Yaxi Zhu, who burst onto the tournament scene two years ago. She's not just a pretty face, as Zhu has already racked up notable cashes all over the world. Her biggest cash to date is a massive €119,100 score in a €2,000 tournament during the Eureka portion of EPT 11 Prague. Zhu also cashed last year's EPT Main Event in Barcelona, banking €13,475 for an 115th place.

She's looking to top those finishes today's €10,300 EPT High Roller event, and is off to a good start. In her latest hand, she opened the cutoff to 1,500, only to have Jason Wheeler three-bet to 4,100 from the small blind. Zhu four-betted to 10,500 and Wheeler gave it up.

Philipp Gruissem

German High Roller Philipp Gruissem, sporting one of poker's finest moustaches, moved up to a six-figure stack. On a board of {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Spades}, Gruissem called a river shove holding {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. His opponent flashed {A-}{Q-} and had to move 31,375 of his stack to the German, on top of the chips in the already large pot.

Gruissem, who busted the Main Event late last night in 99th place (€11,170), goes up to 110,000.
