Tuna's Call is Rewarded

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Akin Tuna lost a bigger pot to Tobias Reinkemeier to drop down to around 40,000, but he just made up for that with a big hero call. Until the {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} river, a pot of more than 20,000 emerged and Tuna bet 6,000. His table neighbor, Thomas Christgen, raised to 24,000 with another 6,000 behind, and Tuna eventually called.

Christgen just shook his head, then turned over the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, and Tuna revealed his {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for a nine-high flush as winning hand.

On a flop of {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} Iliodoros Kamatakis bet 5,000 and Leo Yan Ho Cheng called. The turn was the {10-Clubs} and Kamatakis asks Cheng to lift his arm to allow him a clear view of his stack. Both Cheng and Kamatakis have just around 25,000, with Cheng having the larger stack.

Kamatakis took a stack of 1,000 chips, sixteen of them to be precise, and placed them in the middle of the table. It represents the lion's share of his stack, and he backed it up by positioning the 500 and 100 value chips close to the betting line behind the larger stack

Cheng thought for 30 seconds or so before stacking his chips up and pushing them all in the middle, putting Kamatakis all in. Kamatakis put the rest of his stack in and was all in.

Cheng showed {10-Hearts}{j-Spades} for top pair and Kamatakis lookde deflated as he turned over {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for ace-high. The river was the {k-Clubs} and Kamatakis was eliminated

It's Addamo!

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

One of Australia's brightest new stars on the circuit is Michael Addamo. Addamo is fresh off a successful WSOP where he cashed seven times, including a $196,202 score in a $1,500 event. Today, he crossed the 100,000 mark in an interesting hand against Idisoro Barrena.

Addamo opened to 1,400 on the button and Barrena defended his big blind. The flop came {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}, Barrena checked, Addamo bet 1,400, and Barrena called. Both players checked the {J-Clubs} on the turn.

On the {8-Clubs} river, Barrena quickly led with 1,700, only to be met by a raise to 12,000 from Addamo. The Spaniard considered his options, but eventually surrendered the pot to the Australian.

Jacobson takes from Fernandez

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Leo Fernandez raised to 1,400 and Henri Koivisto called from one seat over. Martin Jacobson then three-bet to 5,700 out of the big blind and both opponents called. On the {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, all three players checked.

Jacobson then bet the {7-Spades} turn for 9,000 and Fernandez called, Koivisto folded. The {8-Hearts} river completed the board and Jacobson bet 26,000. Fernandez gave it plenty of thought and called eventually to see Jacobson turn over {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} and muck.

Strelitz Doubles; Still Below Starting Stack

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

After a raise to 1,500 by Mikko Turtiainen in early position, short stack Daniel Strelitz moved all in from the cutoff. The action folded back to Turtiainen and he asked for a count, to which Strelitz replied "around 13,000." Turtiainen then called and both players turned over pocket pairs.

Strelitz: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Turtiainan: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and the American doubled up for 13,100, but remains below the starting stack.

Tuna Sends Retter to the Rail

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

In a preflop raising war, Moritz Retter ended up all in and at risk for around 12,000 chips with the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Akin Tuna looked him up with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and paired his king on a board of {K-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} to eliminate Retter and add to his stack.
