Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

David Lappin moved all-in with {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for just under 24,000 and was quickly called by Tarek Bouchama alone. He turned over {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Lappin was out of his chair on the turn.

Holozlu Building a Stack

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

From just one poker move, anyone's EPT Main Event can change dramatically. Since he bluffed Raffaele Castro on the river an hour or so ago, Alisan Holozlu's EPT Barcelona has only gone in one direction.

After accumulating chips steadily, he's just got them all into middle pre-flop with {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} against {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and held to go up to 232,000.

Morten Mortensen Gets Caught Bluffing

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Morten Mortensen raised from the button while enjoying a massage and picked up two callers in the blinds including Abel Durban in the small blind. On the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} turn, the action went check, check, and the {Q-Clubs} river was checked to the Dane. Mortensen bet 9,600 and Durban called.

Mortensen flashed {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, while Durban scooped the pot with {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

Kenney check-called a bet of 5,000 and checked again the {7-Diamonds} turn. His opponent checked behind and Kenney then forced a fold on the {2-Diamonds} river by betting 12,600.

Leo Margets Jams into Pablo Gordillo

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Picking up the action on the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} flop, Leo Margets checked out of the big blind and Pablo Gordillo bet 8,000 from early position. Margets check-raised to 25,000 and Gordillo called. On the {10-Diamonds} turn, Margets moved all in for 88,200 and Gordillo gave it plenty of thought before folding.

Both talked some in Spanish still, but Gordillo could not pick up any further information.

Pierre Calamusa Eliminated

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Pierre Calamusa
Pierre Calamusa

The seat that formerly belonged to Winamax Team Pro Pierre Calamusa was empty and the Frenchman had been eliminated according to Keith Johnson. He got it in preflop with {A-}{K-} into the pocket aces of Albert Puigsech.

Puigsech then got into a hand by raising to 4,500 and Keith Johnson called from one seat over, as did Ivan Deyra in the big blind. On the [10c,6,3s] flop, all three players checked. After the {4-Diamonds} turn, Deyra bet 11,800 and Puigsech folded, Johnson called.

The {K-Spades} river was checked through and Deyra showed {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a busted straight draw. Johnson claimed the pot with {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} to recover some previous losses.

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Leo Fernandez
Leo Fernandez

Phil Souki just eliminated Leo Fernandez (pictured) in two hands to rocket his stack up the chipcounts. First, Souki held {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and squeezed a good slice of value on a queen-high board. Then, in the next hand and against Fernandez again, he opened with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and called the immediate shove that came from Fernandez for 31,100. The Team PokerStars Pro held {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} ,started behind and finished the same through a board of {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} .

Souki has made the maximum from his two premium hands and is right back above average.

Cody Flips Spindler Out

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Jake Cody
Jake Cody

Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody is up to 131,500 after winning a flip against Benny Spindler. Both men are former EPT champions, with Spindler having won EPT London almost five years ago and Cody having scooped the Deauville Main Event way back in Season 6.

Only the British legend has the chance to get a second EPT win under his belt here after Cody's pocket jacks overcame Spindler's {A-}{K-}. An ace on the flop looked like the German might be doubling up, but a jack on the turn led to Spindler losing and Cody climbing up the chip-counts.
