Tungel Takes Out Davenport

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Matt Davenport has a pretty good record in this level of buy-in, but he's missed the money by a few dozen players here in Spain. Davenport was all-in for around 53,000 over Lars Tungel's raise of 5,500. Davenport was called and at risk with {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} but he ran into a cooler as Lars Tungel held {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} . Tungel flopped a set as he held with ease through the board of {4-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs} .

Tomasz Gluszko Rising

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The media card of the player from under the gun was already pulled away while the {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} of the short stack, who had pushed for 32,000, still lay on the table. Tomasz Gluszko had only called from a few seats over and the remaining opponents all folded.

Gluszko showed the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and his opponent was drawing dead on the {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts} turn, making the {4-} river insignificant.

Luca Moschitta Doubles

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

From under the gun, Luca Moschitta raised, and Jonathan Gray three-bet in the big blind. Moschitta shoved for 53,000 with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and Gray called with the {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}. The board came {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Moschitta doubled.

Break

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Players are going on their last 20-minute break of the day. The tournament clock say there are 440 players remaining, and they will return just before 6 p.m. local time.

Van Oort is Conan's Barbarian

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Paul van Oort raised in middle position to 4,800 and both blinds called, including Arthur Conan in the big blind. The flop was {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}, and the small blind led out with a bet of 5,000. Conan raised to 12,400, Van Oort three-bet the flop to 25,000, the small blind folded, and Conan called.

On the {3-Hearts} turn, both players elected to check, prompting the dealer to turn the {6-Hearts} on the river. Conan checked, and now Van Oort cut out a sizable bet of 57,000. It sent the Frenchman deep in the tank, deep enough to get the clock called on him. Conan still couldn't decide after his final minute, thus declaring his hand dead and sending the large pot to Van Oort.

Kassouf Busts Before the Money

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

We bumped into Will Kassouf on his way out of the tournament room with all the other players. Unfortunately for him and his supporters, it was not to go on break, but after busting the Main Event less than a hundred players before the money.

"I had ten big blinds and got it in with {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} over the top of Nicolas Chouity's open to 4,000. A Canadian player at my table woke up with pocket tens and that was that. I'll be hoping to satellite into the €10k High Roller later on."
