Ventura Arrives and Runs into Quads

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Chance Kornuth raised to 6,000 and Diego Ventura three-bet to 16,000 from one seat over in the cutoff. Kornuth called and the duo saw the flop of {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, which both checked.

The {7-Spades} turn also went check, check, before the {Q-Hearts} river completed the board. Kornuth checked, Ventura bet 15,500 and then faced a check-raise to 60,500 by Kornuth. After brief consideration, Ventura called and Kornuth rolled over {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for quads.

The Four-Bets are Flying

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Julian Stuer raised to 5,000 from the hijack and Moritz Dietrich three-bet to 15,000 from one seat over. Davidi Kitai in the small blind then four-bet to 42,000 out of the small blind and that forced folds from both opponents.

One hand later, Kitai opened to 5,400 on the button. Steve O'Dwyer three-bet to 18,000 in the small blind and Max Silver four-bet to 44,000. While Kitai folded, O'Dwyer cut out the chips for the call and tossed them in. The flop came {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and O'Dwyer checked, Silver bet 48,000 and won the pot thanks to a fold from O'Dwyer, then laughed and jokingly fist-pumped to his table neighbor.

November Niner 2016 Vojtech Ruzicka Eliminated

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Vojtech Ruzicka
Vojtech Ruzicka

Vojtech Ruzicka was turning his cards face down and standing up from the table, and watching as his remaining stack was pushed to Timothy Adams.

On speaking with Adams, he explained that he three-bet pre-flop and bet all three streets on {8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} with Adams' river bet putting his opponent all in. Ruzicka called and tabled {k-Spades}{10-Spades} but Adams showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a rivered full house, and Ruzicka got to his feet.

Firaldo Four-bets

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Murad Akhundov opened to 4,500 from middle position. Byron Kaverman three-betted to 12,000 from the cutoff, and chipleader Niall “Firaldo87” Farrell four-betted to 29,000 on the button. Akhundov got out of the way, but Kaverman committed the extra chips to see a flop.

The flop came {A-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Kaverman check-folded to a 20,000 bet from Farrell, who continues to extend his lead.

Vogelsang's Queens No Good

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After successfully picking up a bluff by table neighbor Max Silver, Steve O'Dwyer three-bet to 13,500 from the button. Christoph Vogelsang moved all in for around 50,000 and the initial raiser folded, O'Dwyer quickly called.

Vogelsang: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
O'Dwyer: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, providing no help to Vogelsang, and he has been eliminated.

Nicolas Chouity vs Vojtech Ruzicka

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Nicolas Chouity raised to 4,000 from the hijack, and 2016 November Niner Vojtech Ruzicka three-bet to 15,200. Chouity called.

The flop came {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Ruzicka lead for 17,500. Chouity called. The turn was the {8-Clubs} and this time Ruzicka checked, allowing Chouity to bet 27,000. Ruzicka called.

The river was the {j-Spades}. Ruzicka checked and Chouity bet 54,000. Ruzicka called but visibly winced as Chouity announced "Flush," and turned over {7-Spades}{5-Spades} for a rivered flush.

Max Silver Doubles Through Christoph Vogelsang

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

In a blind battle, an already substantial pot was reached when the board read {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}. Max Silver checked to Christoph Vogelsang, who fired 50,000. Silver contemplated for a minute before calling.

On the {3-Clubs} river, Silver checked and Vogelsang moved all in, putting Silver at risk for his tournament life. The British pro, who had 136,700 in chips behind, sank back in his chair and tanked for several minutes. After nearly five minutes of thought, Silver stacked up his chips and put them in the middle.

Vogelsang showed {A-Spades}{10-Spades} for ace high, giving Silver the winner with {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. With that, Silver scored a full double up, while Vogelsang dropped to just 50,000 in chips.
