Geilich Runs Into Aces

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

Bernardo Dias opened to 7,000 from under the gun and Joao Veira called from one seat over before the action reached Ludovic Geilich. The Scot jammed the button for 59,400 with pocket kings and Dias folded, Vieira snap-called with the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. A blank board of {Q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts} saw Geilich departure and Vieira continued his decent start into Day 2.

Two Men Down

Alexandre Rivero and Anthony Zinno have both been eliminated. Zinno was last spotted with a mere 13 big blinds and was unable to spin up that stack.

No Words Needed

Fabrice Soulier
Fabrice Soulier

Fabrice Soulier left the tournament area without any emotion or word, just a sad expression on the face. According to Luuk Gieles, Marco Leonzio had opened, Soulier three-bet with his stack of around 25 big blinds and then called the four-bet shove with pocket jacks. Leonzio had ace-king and won the flip.

Zinno Short

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

A pot of more than 50,000 chips emerged until the {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} turn and Sergey Lebedev checked in the big blind. Anthony Zinno bet what looked like 40,000 from early position and Lebedev called. The duo checked the {Q-Spades} river and Lebedev's {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} won the pot, leaving Zinno short.

Dietrich Fast just four-bet out of the small blind after a raise to 6,500 by Dominik Nitsche and a three-bet by the player on the button. The 40,000 of the German proved to be enough to take down the pot.

Gieles vs Tamasauskas

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Luuk Gieles
Luuk Gieles

The last hand of the level took a bit longer. With a pot of 55,000 chips to the {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop, Luuk Gieles checked in the small blind and Vladas Tamasauskas bet 23,800. The Dutchman called and they checked down the {5-Spades} turn before the {2-Spades} river saw Gieles also check. Tamasauskas had around 84,000 behind and checked, too, with Gieles flipping over {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}.

Tamasauskas revealed {9-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Gieles nodded before heading into his now shortened break of just 15 minutes.

Vieira Doubles Through Nordh

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Joao Vieira raised from under the gun and Gustav Nordh called in the small blind. The Swede check-called a bet on the {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop and the {K-Diamonds} turn for 24,500 before checking the {9-Spades} river. Vieira then shoved for 58,200 and Nordh called with {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} while Veira flashed the {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a set to double.

Paul Dando failed to double up his stack and has been eliminated.

No Lasagna This Time

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Mustapha Kanit
Mustapha Kanit

Mustapha Kanit is no longer in the €10,000 High Roller field. 'lasagnaaammm' as he is known online won't be adding this tournament to the €25,000 High Roller crown he won at the beginning of the festival.

Also joining him on the rail is Mohsin Charania's whose {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} failed to improve against the {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} of Andrew Lichtenberger on a {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board.
