Kitai Takes from Patel and Tuna

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

On the {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Hearts} board, Davidi Kitai bet 65,000 out of the cutoff and Emil Patel check-folded to the Belgian out of the big blind.

Soon after, Kitai defended his big blind to an open raise of Akin Tuna and then bet the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{K-Spades} river for 55,000. Tuna gave it some thought before making the call and Kitai flipped over the winning {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for two pair.

Chartier Doubles Through Patel

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Emil Patel opens to 25,000 from the cutoff and Sam Chartier three-bet him from the button. The blinds folded and Patel moved all-in. He had Chartier covered but Chartier wasted no time in calling and turning over {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}. Patel meanwhile had {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, and the board came {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Chartier and Patel's stacks effectively levelled out late on day 2

Jacob Bazeley Eliminated in 20th Place (€21,530)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jacob Bazeley
Jacob Bazeley

Christoph Vogelsang defended his big blind against a raise by Jacob Bazeley from the cutoff and then check-raised the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop with Bazeley making the call. Just under 200,000 chips were in the middle when the {10-Clubs} hit on the turn. Vogelsang bet 275,000 to put Bazeley all in and the latter called for 203,000.

Bazeley: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Vogelsang: {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

A bluff turned into a flush draw and it got even worse for Bazeley when the {J-Clubs} river completed the board to give Vogelsang a flush. The expression on Bazeley's face spoke for itself while he collected the belongings and headed out of the tournament area.

Riess Cracks Kings to Double

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ryan Riess was two-outered earlier and just now doubled up himself by cracking pocket kings and spiking a three outer.

Marco Leonzio min-raised the small blind to 20,000 and Riess jammed for 222,000 from the big blind, Leonzio snap-called.

Riess: {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Leonzio: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and the former World Series of Poker Main Event champion doubled up to almost average stack.

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Arne Coulier
Arne Coulier

The last hand of the previous level turned into a big one. Arne Coulier opened from under the gun, Christoph Vogelsang then three-bet to 59,000 from the button and Coulier jammed for what looked like 282,000. Vogelsang called and once again it was a flip.

Coulier: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Vogelsang: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The flop {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} improved Vogelsang and Coulier was ready to go. Neither the {4-Diamonds} turn nor the {4-Spades} river improved the Belgian and he headed to the payout desk after turning an entry via satellite into a payday of €19,740.

Luiz Duarte
Luiz Duarte

The magic comeback of Luiz Duarte from one big blind to almost 50 big blinds found a sudden end after a raising war with Sergey Lebedev. The Russian raised and then four-bet shoved from early position, Duarte three-bet and then called all in out of the big blind for a massive flip.

Duarte: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Lebedev: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

On top of the two over cards, Duarte also picked up a flush draw on the flop {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, but neither the {5-Diamonds} turn and {7-Diamonds} river blanked out to bust Duarte in 22nd place.

Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

Joao Vieira raised to 18,000 from the button and Sylvain Loosli called from the small blind. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Loosli check-raised from 18,000 to 45,000 with the Portuguese coming along. The {6-Spades} appeared on the turn and Loosli moved all in to put Vieira at risk for approximately 150,000 chips.

Vieira tanked for some time and the clock was called, with a few seconds remaining he tossed in a chip.

Vieira: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Loosli: {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The {4-Clubs} river was a blank and Vieira headed to the rail in 23rd place.
